Not an anti-Modern Warfare 2 thread, don't get me wrong. Modern Warfare 2 was an amazing game and had ALOT, I mean ALOT of potential. But since day one of it's announcement, Infinity Ward made mistake after mistake, which in my opinion; brought the game to it's knees.

Mistake one was made by advertising the game so much, BAAAAD idea. This is NEVER a good idea for the community. A prime example, yet many of you will "boo" it; Runescape by Jagex. Before it was advertised on Miniclip, Runescape was an awesome game with awesome people. I remember just chilling in Lumbrige talking with people about life. Now, go into ANY Free-to-Play world in Lumbrige, you will see:

• "Selling lvl 59 acc pm me"
  
• "Looking 4 a gf pm me"
  
• "(Insert many website advertisements including gold selling, botting, dating etc.)"
  

Runescape in now plagued with little kids, immature brats and whiners, causing the Majority of old players, the mainly mature ones who genuinely care about the game and put in useful input, become the minority.

But how does this relate to Modern Warfare 2? Well think about it: all the over advertising of Modern Warfare 2 caused the game to be seen by many more people, mainly by this new "breed" of young children running around with their parents' credit cards, buying whatever they wish at was, so long as it is "shiny", so to speak, and the parents don't care for the most part, because "My child is a sweet Angel! How dare you say that about them!"

This brings me to this point: Modern Warfare 2, and I fear the Call of Duty community itself, is meeting the same fate as Runescape once did. The majority of mature players that once playing this great series back when the first CoD game came out (Call of duty four was my first CoD game...I was more of a Counter Strike, Starcraft player...However I have friends that played it way back then on the PC.) are now the minority. The majority is now these whiny little bratty kids, and people who just don't care about the game or give zero feedback at all! This means that the whatever company in question will pay attention to them, as they will try to appease the most people with whatever they do.

Does this mean they don't listen to us? No, it doesn't. In fact, because of Youtube and capture cards, the people who do care (for the most part) have more weight than the rest of us. Why? Because they are the higher ups in the community, and have alot of followers, which means the company will not only pay attention to the majority, but to this very small minority, because they have a major following.

Almost makes Infinity Ward sound like a good company, if they followed that plan or a similar one, that is. Infinity ward instead chose to blatantly IGNORE the ENTIRE community, which is how it FEELS like. Could this be 100% true? No, maybe they did listen to us, but they made sure that it didn't seem like it. They let all the wrongs in the game go on without any intervention, or with long periods of doing nothing about it. If you also notice, Infinity ward has NOT ONCE, apologized or said they were wrong, even with this glitch, bugged out game called Modern Warfare 2.

Now to the main point of writing this, the Modern warfare community itself.

Never before have a seen such a horrible,shitty,disgusting community such as Modern Warfare 2s' community. I have never seen such a mass of people exploit every little bug to use online to give themselves such a sleazy advantage. (Notice how I said online. I have nothing against glitching or exploiting bugs offline or in a private match, so long as it doesn't affect others gameplay. In fact I LOVE glitching in private matches, not online.)Just to name a few:

• One Man Army Noob-Tubes
  
• Infinite Care Package glitch
  
• Wall breaches
  
• Jtags
  

In addition to this, the game is infected with swearing teens and whiny little brats screaming into their mics. I can't play a single game of Search and Destroy without having to mute 90% of the players.

Going off topic for a second, I'm reminded of something. There is zero teamwork in the game now. I never hear my team in Search and Destroy calling out enemy locations, or working as a team in any gamemode. NEWSFLASH TO YOU PEOPLE, getting a high KDR does not make your penis any bigger, does not make your chances of getting a job any higher, or increase your chances of getting a girlfriend/boyfriend.

Back on topic, the swearing and whatnot has gotten out of hand. Plus on top of this, people take this game WAY too seriously. Now I don't consider calling out positions and trying to, I don't know WIN THE GAME taking it seriously as alot of people do. (Someone explain why to me.) THIS is what I am talking about.

I went into Hardcore Search and destroy with my friend to riot shield boost so he can get some of his stuff back because he was de-ranked by some jackass. (Yes, I know it is a bug and I was exploiting it. So was the Jtager, my actions are no better than his but I was doing it with good intentions. Doesn't make up for it I know.)

Anyways, I'm doing this and someone on my team messages me threatening to IP flood me. Seriously, he took his gaming so seriously that this 15 year old (how old he sounded) downloaded a program to IP flood me, and anyone else previously that messed up his fun. However not knowing I come from a Tech-Savy family, we have very good security for our network, so it failed. (to my knowledge anyways, I have very little knowledge of IP flooding.) However, He took it so seriously he committed a federal crime. Yea, I'm going to make this nice and big and bright. IP FLOODING IS A FEDERAL CRIME AND IS PUNISHABLE BY MONETARY FINES AND JAIL TIME. I take stuff like this very seriously, so I have since alerted Microsoft and the the local authoritys of his threat...Stupid choice on his part. Like mom always said, "Eventually he is going to mess with the wrong kind, and they'll pay."

If you actually read this far, thank you for at least taking the time to read my rant, and give me some feedback. I figured I'd vent some frustration and work on my writing skills and whatnot.

i hate the cod community to bits, i dont mind all these 'respected', 'well known players' on youtube because they dont really give out a lot of anger compared to normal players

but i do think that this is 90% of IW's fault, everything is like this due to everything they put in the game...all they knew was that MW2 was the most hyped game for a long time, maybe most hyped game of all time so they knew they were going to get sh*t loads of money which is obviously what everyone wants

if i were them i would have kept it simple like COD4, id get COD4 and change graphics, maps, guns & add a new few perks that are not stupid like commando and painkiller...and maybe remove the leaderboards because everyones competetive, comparing KDs and all that, without that people would play the game like how its suppose to be played

I see your point, but let me explain what we mean by "the game is dying"
When all these little kids, the brats, the whiners, the fagots, and the overall douches come into ANY game, they start to taint the game like a virus.

The game slowly becomes less fun with the virus in it, making the quality of the overall game go down. This can be with any game, not just Modern Warfare 2. This virus eats the game alive. When I picture Modern warfare 2 as a person (Follow me) I see a person with tons of puss and holes in the body, almost like a zombie, if it makes sense.

We don't mean that the game will fail, it wont. but the game is now dead. Im not sure if you get it yet.

Here is what I challenge you to do; go get 5 friends, and go to a private match. Play about 5 rounds of TDM without any:
OMA noob tubes, or any noob tubes.
Commando knifing
Quick scoping
Modding (modded controllers)

Then go play 5 DIFFERENT games of TDM online. (Play one, back out. Look for another, play it, then back out. and so on.)

You'll see how the game is dead.

I actually do play the game a lot and yes the noobtubing is bad.

This was my point though. When it comes to these, "this game is dead rants" it usually is because

A.) there are exploits/hacks that "fair" players can't overcome
B.) there are exploits/hacks that "fair" players can overcome but don't feel like dealing with it.

More times than not people complain because they are getting raped on a daily by Noobtubes. I don't.Unless I'm on Vacant.

I HATE noobtubing with OMA especially. Modern Warfare 2 is a really good game, I will agree that without the OMA+Tube BS the game would be great, but it is indeed good in my opinion.

Although I'm one of those guys that when I see people are exploiting a game online, I get satisfaction out of beating them the right way.

I respect your opinion as well as others.

But keep in mind, I know how online games work. Usually it's just the idea that, you used to kick ass in the older versions of a game, and now the new version you can't do so well, so the easy out is to blame "kids" and the company that makes the game. Not accusing you or others directly but that's how it is.

It's like, "Man Call of Duty 2 was good" aka I didn't get Owned back then so I like that game more.

I don't understand why all the bratty little kids and punk teenagers always talk shit to my clan in HQ and then, after we capture and hold the first HQ to the max they have to start with the grenade launchers and RPGs. Then after getting raped with the RPGs and Grenade launchers for a good 3 minutes (some people last longer and some shorter) they either switch to a marathon lightweight commando class with a tactical knife or backout. Why do people always think they are so badass on a video game talking shit to old players who have been together since COD4 and then just leave?
It's not just on COD or on online video games. This generation of kids has more disrespect for respectable people then anyone else. I believe most of it is due to bad parenting practices and also they learn it from their peers. I have played with a guy that had three kids and he would practically neglect them so that he could play COD. and his kids would always be screaming in the background and everything. Those are the type of parents that aren't ready for kids and just give them a video game console so they stop swearing and cursing at their parents.

Thats what everybody said about the mw2 game trailer compared to CoD4 how wrong was we lol

This game is that dead that 2 days after buying the resurgence maps i went back to playstation store and bought the map packs for cod4 and ive been having fun ever since!!!

i have to disagree with you here^^ the people that have been playing first person shooters for years are old heads or veterans even. They are used to playing a game where it takes abit of skill and thought, Ad they actually use a bullet fired from a gun to shoot and kill the enemy(well most of the time)lol . Not noob tubes with danger close and OMA or the MLC runners with tac knife or even nuke boosters are all problems that came with MW2 and the newby players that came with it.
