(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Before everyone frowns upon this for not being in the Mega Idea thread, there is a reason;
People visiting NGU are not looking at the MEGA thread, because the cant be bothered to read 100+ pages and think it is now a dead discussion.
Whenever I log onto NGU I see that MW2 hacks and PS3 hacks have quite high numbers, people looking for threads about hacks just dismiss the larger ones.
It took Hunter and Unknown several months to figure out how to do this, and lets face it so far, we have failed.
If we all work together and brainstorm ideas, and not flame people who suggest "weird" ideas then we might find the way, after all they only had two brains, and together we have more.

Anyway, we need to think outside the box, So why not start simple and work our way through all of the ideas.
First of all we know the PKG editing is a dead end, as they are signed.
Hunter and Unknown have hacked all of the CoD's so far so they must all have something in common to do with each other, Maybe Lan or game settings, which is what Im now getting onto.

Scratch that v v Thats data injection which is a no go, read a couple of pages to see the map pack theory

Whenever you play CoD you will notice a "Downloading game settings" message, meaning that it is downloading a small file telling our consoles what and what not to do, I think its the GPAD0 file, but im not sure, if anyone knows please correct me, anyway, the file comes from IW net or IW servers, so the game doesn't question if its legit or not.
Anyway people had problems with not being able to get the settings and had to open certain ports, maybe if we setup a PS3 proxy like we did to get the PKG we might be able to monitor incoming data from ports and replace the game settings File with our own.
Discuss, point out flaws, constructive criticism, don't flame, its just a idea out of the box, and tomorrow i will post another idea about LAN.

Moniter incoming data and send our own = packet injection which, in my eyes, is a dead end. Also, if Hunter and TheUnk0wn are using packet injection then they wouldn't have an in game menu with all the hacks on it. One theory down, ???? To go lol

That is not entirely true. They could of injected a menu going through hard work doing it, but it is highly unlikely ^.^

Ahh well if this is what you would class as packet injection, then i will post my next theory up today, as Unknown said it was a dead end.

Lan hacks, as you know Unknown creates his mods on his PC, but how does he transfer them to the PS3?
Well if you setup a Lan over Xlink Kai you are sending the data from your PS3 to your pc, so in essence a kind of dedicated server.
But what if you could link up the MW2 PC program to host the LAN and your PS3 connects to it, far fetched I know, but its an idea, and Unknown is good at making programs, and all of the CoD's must have something in common to make them all hackable.
Im not sure but could this LAN hack then infect you with DVARS?

I was speaking to PS3 Fuzions (might be Fusions) the other day and he said that when Hunter hacked with him he made a mistake and unlocked all gold guns but none of the other camo's this can only be achieved through an edited patch (or DVAR I think) so maybe Hunter did mod a PKG , but not the patch one, the Map Pack one, but this may also be signed.

He creates/codes them on PC because GSC code is platform independent. So I assume like xbox, it is easier to test and load new mods on PC (Takes 10 seconds to load and play) vs loading them onto the ps3 (however he does that) to just test something.

Mr.Kane
Greatness
i think they have made a patch from scratch to load through IW servers and put what they want in it, then edited the iso to load this patch

Cake is a lie
Downloading Game Settings is ONLY for the Playlists and Maps loading.
But maybe you can find an Exploit in this?

NOTICE Before you enter Multiplayer it says "Reading HDD" which kinda prooves the HDD effects the Game.

SO he only makes them on PC for convenience?
But if he is editing the GSC how does he get access to it on the PS3?

Of course it does... where do you think new patches get downloaded to?

Well he codes on his PC, what did you expect him to code on? A chalkboard?

As to how they load the mods, that is the million dollar question.
