Why you think this is right?
Well, I have tried all of hacking theories such as HDD method and Proxy method and both of them failed.



Here it the tutorial , I can not test it right now , I do not have a 3.15 FW.Here's the TuT , Remember do this on YOUR own risk.


Items needed :

1- PS3 with FW 3.15 or lower.

2- PC

3- SAK


SAK program allows you to copy files from your PS3 to your PC. Here is the TuT on how to use SAK.

First off, you have to go into the control panel on your P.C., double-click on folder options, then click on view, and all the way at the bottom of the addvanced settings there is an option called "use simple file sharing" uncheck it and click apply and ok. This will enable you to share files between your PS3 and your PC!

Next thing you need to do is create a file on your PC (whatever you want, GAMES, PS3, anything) than right-click that folder and go into properties. From here, go into sharing and click 'share this folder' then click on permissions and click "full control". Make sure you apply all settings before exiting.

Ok now boot up that old PS3 Swiss Army Knife for step #2. Choose option 3 (Windows Share), and put in your IP address. You can get your IP address by simply going into control panel again, go into "network connections" dubble click on "local area connections" and then on support, and all your IP information will be right there.

Now it will ask you for a folder name.. put in the folder that you enabeled for sharing (duh). Then it will ask for user name (your Windows user name) and your Windows password. Now all you have to do is label the game or movie your backing up.

Using SAK you can copy the patch from your PS3 to your PC and simply it will not be encrypted because it's actually like the exact one on your PS3 so it will not be like the one you get from Ps3 proxy.

After getting the patch on your PC , you can edit by inputting your codes then you can get it back on your Ps3 by using proxy.

Now why you said half?

The hacks will be on FW 3.15 so you cannot go online and you cannot use transfer cable between two Ps3's with different FW however I believe I can get around through this. Actaully you should test hacks first in Splitscreen.

The theory on bypassing FW is a Check update software remover posted on Ps3-News.


EDIT: I am trying to get a PS3 with FW 3.15 but just can't find them. I have been contacted by Ryguy88 in this thread about him getting 3.15 FW Ps3 ( he is still not sure) , so if that's right , We will test it then tell you the result guys.

If that's worked then a public TuT will be released but well don't get your hopes high.

trust me dude SAK will give u an image of the patch... which is just an image... if u try restore it then ur trying to restore an image....

this aint the way anyway look at other methods...

EDIT: have u also heard of the hypervisor??? the whole reason it is there is to block access to game partition from otherOS partition... this wouldnt get the patch anyway...

There must be a way to bypass the firmware updates, I've heard of ways in the past, and there's a class action lawsuit over OtherOS removal, it may come back because of the lawsuit, there must be a way to transfer the patch to a different PS3

Sony will never bring OtherOS back.

The Class Action Lawsuit doesn't even ask for it to return, they just want compensation for it being removed.

What's America come too? If they don't even ask for the feature back they probably didn't use it and just want money, besides the PS3 hack scene is going nowhere, they may as well bring it back, because no one is making progress
