(New to patch only) Let it update!!!!
Launch mw2 (If your in full screen Alt+Tab out and select the devloper consal.

in the consal type the following

    connect 'ip here'

And you should be playing with your buds in no time!

I don't use AlterIWnet much bit it should not matter where you run it. I have a folder on the Root of C:\ for all Mw2 related stuff.

Try re-downloading it. I can also send you the file.
