Im sure its not the hdd i mean even if you decrypted the patch.ff and now you want itback on your ps3 youll need the pkg file which is impossible to open or modify.

Ya, because you know, there isn't a way around patches....
I'm sure Unknown, if he wanted to, could put infections back in. You can never fully "patch" something, you just need to find the way around it once that way is fixed.

It doesn't matter. The patch is still on the hard drive. I'm not saying that their aren't some tricks behind it, but think for a minute please. It took the Unkn0wn and Hunter how long to get this up and running, yet we're still figuring it out. I'm not saying its easy, but explain to me how else the patch would be stored and editted.

You cannot just plug your ps3 HDD into your computer and mod it. The ps3's HDD encryption is far more advanced then the 360 ever was.


I'm not saying that you just plug it in and hack it. But are you believing the other theories that are coming out? Exactly. There is no way The Unkn0wn would've done some ridiculous method. He figured this out in a few months. We haven't really started yet. My method makes the most sense. The patch is sitting right there. We know how to decrypt it, but have trouble encrypting. What if we spend less time on theories and more time figuring this out.

HDD method doesn't work on the latest firmware sony upped the protection when they found out..

They have many checksums yes. But we can still figure out how to get past them as we do everything. Also, the Unkn0wn if he had more than one HDD could just switch them out :p. In fact I bet he created his own program once he had accomplished it.
