i have a method which just may work but i need the patch and a de-encryption tutorial.

what SAK? swiss army knife app right? how do i use that to decrypt the patch?

i am petty sure people on this forum have managed to compress and decompress the patch and install on the ps3 but the only downfall was that the hacks never worked.

thanks dude but could you possibly pm the patch it be much easier then me going through all that. also when you extract the patch its decompressed but how do you compress it back?

maybe if you went through all that, you won't ask questions that are answered in that topic (and a million other)
I know I don't have a lot of posts, but I read almost every thread that's made in this section + all the replies..

back to your question:
first of all, I don't think editing the uninstalled patch is the way, cause unknown can edit his hacks & be back online in 10 minutes. If he always had to delete the patch (+map packs) and redownload them, it would take more than 10 minutes
And I don't think anyone outside Sony has managed to decompress the .pkg files.. so let alone compressing it again.. (if i'm wrong, please correct me, cause i'd like to know if there's a way or prgm to do that)

I dont think u can Decrypt the LATEST patch.

Nothing is impossible just very hard.
