(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); As we all know, different guns deal different damage. If you want to use any second perk besides stopping power, it is best to know what effect this change will have on your gun.
Note: Everybody has 100 health, 300 with painkiller, 30 in hardcore
Stopping power multiplies damage done by 1.4

Assault Rifles
Note: With assault rifles a silencer doesn't reduce damage, but reduces the distance of a short range damage shot (reduces the damage curve)
I'll divide the Assault rifles into three groups

Low-Damage:
These guns deal 30 damage close range and 20 damage long range (4-5 shots)
With stopping power: 40 close 28 long (3-4 shots)
M4A1
ACR
F2000
I would not recommend taking stopping power away from these guns. Even though they have a high rate of fire, you need pinpoint accuracy to take a target down in a reasonable time. Longshots are nearly impossible because your enemy will have time to react before you hit him 5 times. With recoil this is even harder (especially the F2000) The ACR CAN be used without stopping power because it has 0 recoil. It can also be argued that because of the F2000's fire rate SP is not needed in CQC (not IMO).

High Damage
These guns deal 40 damage up close and 30 damage long range (3-4 shots)
With stopping power: 56 close 42 long (2-3 shots)
Tar-21
AK-47
SCAR-H
These guns are viable without stopping power because of their high power, however, they do not have the same rate of fire as the low-damage ones (except the TAR-21, which has a high rate of fire) With these guns it is very easy to get kills without stopping power, because you don't need to be as accurate, although with stopping power you will notice a considerable difference.

Burst
M16A4
FAMAS
These guns do the same damage per bullet as the high damage assault rifles
With stopping power, these guns will always be a 1-burst kill. Without stopping power, you run the risk of having to shoot two bursts to kill, and a lot of times this means the difference between a kill and a death. I wouldn't recommend it. The FAMAS has a big range advantage.

FAL: 55 damage short range 35 long
Stopping power will give you the ability to OHK headshot. SP won't do too much until you get the holographic, which increases the long range damage by 5, making it a two shot kill at any range. I recommend SP and a Holo sight.

Even though some rifles are viable without stopping power, i would recommend using stopping power. SMGs are much more suitable for other perks as you will soon see.

Sub-Machine Guns
SMGs may have a much smaller range curve than that of Rifles, but silencers have a very small effect on them

MP5K
40 damage short 20 long (3-5 shots)
With SP: 56 long 28 short (2-4 shots)
The MP5K is the best close quarters primary in the game. With its high rate of fire, a kill in short ranges is almost instant. I like stopping power on mine, but with a high rate of fire it isn't necessary unless you run into a mid-range fight.

UMP
40 damage short 35 long (3 shots at any distance)
With SP: 56 short 49 long (2-3 shots)
As you can see, the UMP is VERY powerful and stopping power has a minimal effect. Because of the extremely short range curve, the 2 shot kill won't come into play often. It has a very low rate of fire. I would NOT recommend stopping power.

Vector
25 damage short 20 long (4-5 shots)
With SP: 35 short 28 long (3-4 shots)
The Vector has the 2nd highest fire rate of any gun (G1Cool Man (aka Tustin) and almost no recoil. Therefore the number of shots to kill isn't very important unless you want to conserve ammo. I would not recommend stopping power.

P90 and Mini-Uzi
30 damage long 20 short (4-5 shots)
With SP: 42 and 28 (3-4 shots)
They have a high rate of fire, but they also have recoil. The mini-uzi shoots faster but it also has worse recoil. I would recommend stopping power on both of these guns, but if you had to you could get away without it on the P90

Light-Machine Guns
I highly recommend the grip attachment for all LMGs
They have unlimited range, there is no range curve. A silencer reduces the damage at ALL ranges by 10.
High-Powered LMGs
40 damage (3 shots)
With SP: 56 dmg (2 shots)
AUG
L86
RPD
These guns are fast killers at any range, with or without stopping power. The choice of perk is up to you. Personally, i like SP.

Low-Powered LMGs
30 dmg (4 shots)
with SP: 42 dmg (3 shots)
MG4
M240
These LMGs are very weak. I recommend stopping power for both.

Snipers
Snipers all have the same base damage (70), but different snipers have different DAMAGE MULTIPLIERS based on where you hit your enemy. A silencer changes the damage to 50, stopping power will reverse the effect.
With a silencer and WITHOUT stopping power a one shot head shot kill is impossible! Try it yourself! If you do this use the M21 because it has small recoil.

Intervention and Barrett
Without/with stopping power:
Headshot/neck: 105 dmg/ 147
Chest: 105/147
Midsection: 77/108
Limbs:70/98
I recommend stopping power for these because it makes any body shot a one shot kill. If you want to use a different perk, the Barrett would be viable because it's semi-auto

WA2000
without/with SP
Head/neck: 105/147 dmg
Chest: 105/147
Anywhere else: 70/98
As you can tell, stopping power has NO EFFECT on the WA2000 (unless you silence it, Stopping power reverses the effect of the silencer)

M21 EBR
without/with SP
Head/neck: 105/147 dmg
Chest: 77/108 dmg
anywhere else: 70/98
The M21 is the weakest Sniper Rifle. It can only get one shot kills to the head or chest with stopping power. Going with or without stopping power is totally up to you. The M21 has small recoil and you can spray with it. A good setup with it is a silencer and cold-blooded, but you will need 2 shots to kill.
