That article is nearly a year old. MW2 wasn't released then, so they probably didn't want people to think it would end on a cliffhanger.
And even so, remember that Black Ops is coming out. Then COD8 made by Sledgehammer, so maybe they planned on making a game sometime between that time period?

For some reason i don't think they will. Due to all the negative response from the game as of late they probably do not want to get more hate from the people who are buying the game. Do you really think they care that much about the game anyways? It takes them at least 6 weeks to create a patch for 3 things. I wouldn't really want them to wake another game anyways :n:

No I remember seeing that IW will not be making anymore cod games. Activision is gonna move them onto something else. It will probably be another shooter but I do remember seeing somewhere that IW will not be working on cod anymore.
