(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); No, this is NOT a boosting thread!
I had a look around, and I haven't seen a thread similar to this.
Most of the time I spend on MW2, I get into a good party and play Demolition to Spawn-Trap. After a lot of experience in doing this, I decided to make a simple guide to help people out, that may not know how to do it effectively.
Due to the lack of a cap-card, I will show you pictures of the minimap, indicating particular spots to sit in Smile
Please note, on almost every map, it is almost essential that your party knows what they're doing also, because you almost always need at least 1 person covering each spawn, or they will break the trap and shoot you in the back Smile

1. Classes.
My Class:
Primary - P90 Ext. Mags
Secondary - AA-12 Ext. Mags/SPAS-12 FMJ
Perk 1 - Marathon Pro
Perk 2 - Stopping Power Pro
Perk 3 - Sitrep Pro
Equip. - Tactical Insertion

I recommend:
Primary - SMG/AR w/Ext. Mags or FMJ
Secondary - Shotgun w/Ext. Mags
Perk 1 - Marathon/Sleight of Hand
Perk 2 - Stopping Power (Highly Recommended except UMP)
Perk 3 - Your preference.
Equip. - Tac. Insertion is a must have!

2. The Trap Spots.
These spots are where each person will need to sit to cover a particular point.
The spawn points will be marked in red, and the trap points will be marked in green.

Map 1 - Favela
This map is huge for spawn-trapping, and can be done effectively on both the attacking side, and defending side.
You must login or register to view this content.
As you can see in the picture, the red dots mark out the major spawn points for the enemy. If each person on your team is located in one of the green points, you should successfully be able to ADS at the spawn and have them spawn in front of you, racking up huge kills for everyone.
On the attacking side, at least 1 person locates themselves on top of the roof, aiming down into the mud puddle.
Bomb is generally planted at A, as B is easiest to defend.

Map 2 - Rundown
You must login or register to view this content.
Rundown can be spawn-trapped VERY easily on the attacking side, however it is much more difficult on the defending side, as spawns are spread out much further.
I always plant the bomb at B, as I personally find it easier to spawn trap them while defending A.
Their major spawn point is at the bottom of the stairs behind the villa, so have at least 2-3 people covering this. Once this spawn point gets too crowded, they will start to spawn next to the barn. Have someone camp next to the fallen down cage right next to this spawn point, and the whole team should be easily trapped.
However, while defending, spawn trapping is much harder. I tend sit further from the spawns and sprint around their base.

Map 3 - Afghan
Afghan is generally only spawn-trapped while defending.
You must login or register to view this content.
In Afghan, their primary spawn point is in the canyon. Have someone placed on the hill next to this canyon behind the low wall.
Once this gets crowded, they start to spawn elsewhere; near the poppy fields and higher up the hill. If there is at least 1 team-mate covering sitting in each green point, this side is very easy to trap. Afghan is also great for killstreaks, making spawn-trapping much easier.

Map 4 - Highrise
Highrise is very easy to spawn trap, but terrible for killstreaks.
You must login or register to view this content.
Highrise can be easily spawn-trapped if following the simple rule, sit outside the office windows. If the whole team sits outside, it is guaranteed that the enemy won't start spawning at the elevators. However, if you have a hooligan on your team running into the offices with a UMP (typically), then yes it will ruin it for the rest of your team and you will probably start getting shot in the back. HOWEVER, this can be beneficial sometimes. If your a friendly team, and someone on your team has an AC, or a Chopper, then if everyone sits on one of the yellow stars inside the enemy office, then it is guaranteed they will continually spawn at the elevators. For a Chopper or AC, this provides an extremely easy killfeed as all they have to do is aim at the one spot.
Otherwise, stick to the green dots marked. One team-mate can sit in the dot marked next to the cafe on the attacking side without disrupting spawns, and on the defending side, a team-mate can sit next to the photo-copier marked inside the left spawn.
I generally find it beneficial to have a team-mate sit on the heli-pad with either a Sniper or an AR, just to cover any enemies that decide to go underground, or one that manages to break through.

Map 5 - Invasion
Invasion is spawn-trapped very easily with a decent team, especially on defending side.
You must login or register to view this content.
While defending, its very beneficial to have someone sit on top of the roof directly overlooking the carpark, just in case someone dies. It also has a direct line of sight into their primary spawn, in the carpark.
While attacking, 2-3 team-mates sit inside the main building and cover their main spawn, which is at the bottom of the staircase. Once this spawn is flooded, they will start spawning inside the house next to B bomb, and outside on the grass near the trucks towards the A side. Have one member on each spawn.

Map 6 - Karachi
Karachi is definitely one of my favourite maps to spawn-trap, mainly because you don't need a good party to do it, however it definitely helps.
You must login or register to view this content.
The attacking side is ridiculously easy to spawn trap; it essentially consists of sitting up near the mosque, frequently checking each exit of the spawn. However, when in a good party, I tend to find that because my whole team is up on the mosque, I don't get as many kills. This is when I bring out the shotgun and sprint around their base, checking each spawn, which is very handy as they can't spawn behind the mosque at any time.
On the defending side, have a few team-mates sit on the building overlooking their spawns. One member needs to sit behind the low wall near the shacks, and I tend to sit in the middle building with a shotgun or SMG, frequently checking each side for anyone running past.

Note that the above maps I have listed are the ones I have found to be the most effective in Spawntrapping! However, if there is a specific request for a map, let me knowSmile

3. Methods
When spawn-trapping, tactical insertion is nearly vital, as it saves you running across the map. Also, once you die, you leave a spawn unprotected and in some cases, this gives the enemy an opportunity to flank the rest of your team and completely ruin the trap. However, if inserting, you can return to your spot and kill any escapees quite quickly.
Maximising Time
Most people who play Demolition know this already, but for newcomers this is extemely helpful as it can turn a 5 minute game of Demo, into a 20 minute game.
The overall key is to let one bomb blow up each round, as it extends the game time by a couple of minutes, as well as obtaining a third round. The easiest way of getting a third round is by winning when defending (let the enemy blow one bomb up), then deliberately losing the attacking round, after blowing one bomb up.
I try to aim for this every game of Demolition I play, as it gives you more time in the spawn instead of waiting in the lobby.
Spawn Tubes
There have been quite a few times when a member in my party decides to pull out Tubes/RPG's once we're all inside the spawn. This is, obviously an easy way to obliterate a spawn and get doubles/triples, however there are heavy drawbacks. One is the obvious; reloading. When spawn-killing, the enemy are literally spawning right in front of you. More than often, there is not nearly enough time to reload, find a scavenger pack or swap out your class using OMA. The second is that the enemy will either rage quit, or tube you. You don't want either of these to happen, as if you are a decent enough spawn-killer, you will realise that they generally don't have enough time to kill you with bullets. However they can easily tube you in the hope of breaking spawn, if given enough time with painkiller.
Sentry Guns.
When spawn-trapping, using Sentry Guns is EXTREMELY beneficial, especially if you aren't in a party that knows what they're doing. I got the Prestige challenge for Sentry done very quickly, purely from placing them effectively in front of spawns. As a general method, placing a Sentry in front of a primary spawn, then sitting in a secondary spawn gets you a lot of kills.
Quick list of very helpful spots:
Favela Attacking - On middle level overlooking mud puddle or cemetary
Favela Defending - in the corner behind the blown up cars (top left on pic), facing towards the spawn next to brick wall
Rundown Attacking - On stairs or ground level facing spawn next to stairs
Highrise - On top of helipad (works both sides)
Solo Spawn-Trapping
This can be done! However it is much more difficult.
Essentially, place a C4 on their secondary spawn and/or place a Sentry facing another secondary spawn. Then find a spot facing the primary spawn, however give it some distance because if you get too close, the C4 will not prevent them from using that spawn.

Thankyou, I have put quite a lot of time and effort into this guide, and it is my first. Any suggestions/contributions are welcomeSmile

Please note that this can only be done in Demolition! Domination features similar methods, however you can NOT get this close to the spawn in Domination, without forcing them to spawn on the opposite flag.
