Ok I believe that I am moving forward with this.
A proxy server is used to inject a modded patch.
When installing a moded patch I get the following error 8002AE22. I think this is due to the fact it has the incorrect signature / checksum.
Im not sure if the signature/checksum is actually stored in the patch or from a file it retrieves from the PS3 networks servers.
If patches signature is stored separately it should make it allot easier.

Im wondering if the signature is stored on a secured server hence it connecting to a0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net:443
Will have to look into this with wireshark.
