(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Sit-Rep: Allows you to see enemy explosive devices, which include:
- claymores
- C4
- Semtex
- Grenades
- rockets
- Noob tubes

Sit-rep Pro: + increased enemy footsteps
This also includes: Equipment being used, such as planting claymores, throwing C4.
the Beeping of Semtex, the Clank of hand grenades and the click of the Claymores.
Also cancels out ninja

What and how to use Sit-Rep Pro:
First. if you have a T.V. all this does is increase the range you will hear stuff. for example if someones running through a hall, what would normally be a short distance in order for you to hear them, is multi-plied by 4.

Example: you are in one room which is 20 units long. at 10 units you can hear a opponent place a C4 charge.

with Sit-rep pro the same level of noise is produced from a opponent at 40 units of distance, which means you can be in the other room and hear the sound of a C4 charge being thrown. ( plus you can see it thanks to the X-ray vision of Sit-rep)

things to note: at a maximum sound level, ( which would be basically 0.00001 distance units away) the noise if still the same ( because 0.00001 and 0.00004 are to close to distinguish) so you may be confused by how close or far away stuff really is!

with headsets, same applies but with surround sound, which is awesome!

things to note about sit-rep X-ray vision. the distance in which you see stuff is X distance from your "screen view" or what your screen is physically looking at.
so if you use a sniper rifle which zooms in by 500 ( for example) game units. then you can see explosive devices 500+ X distance away.

what does this mean?

If you stand on the bridge in underpass, zoom into the building on the adjacent side of the map, you can see a claymore being placed at the doorway to the building.

in non example terms.
you can see the entire length of underpass with a sniper scope and sit-rep. That's freaking BALLING! which makes snipers a AWESOME choice to pair up with sit-rep.

How to get Sit-rep Pro:
1) use sit-rep in conjunction with a FMJ sniper and shoots through walls to blow up claymores. in most maps you can do this in the comfort of your own spawn.

2) put on sit-rep in conjunction with a few explosive devices of you own ( tubes, thumper, grenades) and when you see a claymore, blow it to pieces.

best modes to find explosive devices:
Search and destroy
Free for all
Hardcore modes.

hope this clears up a few things. I know i went through 2 prestige's without even touching it.

Thanks Mimical Theory.

well the fact is, sit rep makes enemies footsteps louder, and your team mates quieter. but your footsteps are loud as shit. In my personal opinion/ playstyle i would rather use ninja as hearing my own foootsteps in my turtlebeaches pisses me off. So sit rep isnt like ninja, its stupid annoying when you have a headset.

whenever i use sitrep i never seem to hear my own foot steps as loud as normall and i do have a headset. like the other day i was playing some pub matches with sitrep(and a headset) barely heard my footsteps, then i went to private matches and we were messing around with commmando and it was loud as shit, it's probrably just me but comando/steady aim always seems louder than sitrep

it might just me different head set styles. when i use ninja i really have to turn my head set up crazy ear bleeding loud to hear my own foosteps. when i put on sit rep its way to loud for me. I wish my footsteps were quiet with sit rep, i would rock it all the time.

Well sit rep pro reduces the sound of your footsteps to your own ears by 40%, while ninja pro reduces it by 75%.

Well every perk has its cons. I mean up until I got my headset, all I used was non ninja pro perks and I dealt with my own footsteps. I mean I guess you get use to it. But now that I have my own headset, I have to have ninja pro on because I hate hearing my footsteps.
