(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello, welcome to my tutorial about boosting. Boosting is a activity on on-line games (like MW2), generally where a player kills his friend repeatedly for XP, head shots, kill streaks and challenges. You may be thinking, “Why write this tutorial if boosting so easy?” Well, I see people boosting not using a silenced weapon, Cold-Blooded, Ninja, not muting other players or going too slow. When they don't conceal their location enough, often or not they might get killed. Booster hunters, are normally the cause. A booster hunter, is when a hunter knows that boosting is in progress, they hunt them down and kills them. You and/may even be killed by someone that's using a Heartbeat Sensor, because a red dot came up, or by a person who has seen the red dot on the radar when you are shooting, or has got a UAV. The purpose of this tutorial is show boosters, how to do it using stealth and reassurance.

DISCLAIMER:
I, jbitkill do not take any responsibility if you get banned from PlayStation Network, Xbox Live or Steam or any other service. The boosting group will be referred as Group.

WARNING:
This is a very big wall of text, so take a break every now and again! It's 8 pages in Word!

[multipage=Boosting for kills, head shots, attachments, challenges or kill streaks]
Boosting for kills, head shots, attachments, challenges or kill streaks

The most common type of boosting, where 2+ people, kill each other for kills, head shots, attachments, challenges or kill streaks. You can upgrade the following perks by doing this;

  • Sleight Of Hand
  • Bling
  • One Man Army
  • Stopping Power (replaces Cold-Blooded!)
  • Hardline (replaces Cold-Blooded!)
  • Commando (replaces Ninja!)
  • Steady Aim (replaces Ninja!)
  • Ninja
  • Scrambler (replaces Ninja!)

Rules

To avoid detection, follow these rules;
  • Always use Cold-Blooded, Ninja and a silencer. This keeps the Group off radar, air support and heartbeat sensors. If the Group is upgrading a perk, I recommend using a silencer still.
  • Use a heartbeat sensor when possible, to give you a early warning of a situation.
  • Mute other players, they'll get suspicious if they hear “I'm coming behind the containers at the south-east corner of the map”.

To protect the Group;
  • Use a claymore to protect the Group.
  • Consider getting a guard to watch for hostiles entering the area.
  • If someone killed the Group, consider moving locations. If it happens more than 3 times, stop boosting for now or leave the lobby.

To make things easier;
  • Use a mic/headset to communicate easily with the Group.
  • Don't watch the killcam, skip it. It makes things quicker.
  • If the Group is boosting kills/challenges/kill streaks, consider boosting head shots at the same time.

To make sure the game isn't spoiled for everyone else;
  • Get 29 kills (not 30), then other member(s) get 29 kills and then stop to continue the game.
  • Avoid using kill streaks unless the Group is unlocking a kill streak challenge.
  • Call in the Nuke at the end! It is annoying when your game is cut short by 8 minutes so be fair.
  • Don't get your kills/head shots/challenges/kill streaks and then ditch the Group, leaving them with 29 death(s).

Other things;
  • Expect abuse. You may be called a noob, cheater, booster, or a faggot. Just ignore it otherwise to may escalate to arguments, and you and/or your partner(s) getting reported. If you muted other players anyway, you wouldn't have never heard it.

Requirements

  • A partner (Boostee)
  • A guard (optional)
  • Spare class
  • You and and the Group at least level 29 (preferred level 31)
  • Silencer unlocked (essential)
  • Heartbeat Sensor (optional)
  • Challenges or kill streaks unlocked

Classes

Booster class

  • Any gun with silencer (bling attachment: the attachment used to unlock the other attachment)
  • Any secondary with silencer
  • Tactical Insertion
  • Special grenade is your choice
  • Bling/Scavenger (bling needed if unlocking attachments by using a attachment)
  • Cold-Blooded
  • Ninja
  • Copycat

Boostee class

  • Same as boosters, but with the guns that he/she wants to boost.

Guard class

  • Same as boosters, but with the gun that he/she want to use and with claymores. Scavenger preferred.

Boosting Process

  1. Booster to find FFA/BareBones Pro FFA lobby. (if your boosting kill streaks, don't choose BareBones Pro).
  2. When it says finding games at the top, invite the Group or have them join.
  3. Mute everyone except the Group.
  4. Find a spot, and meet the Group there. (tip: when the game starts, press Circle/B twice to spectate. Warning: you have a minute to select a class and join the game before you get kicked)
  5. Guard to find a spot to camp that can see all entries to the boosting spot. Protect the entries with Claymores while remaining hidden.
  6. Boostee to lay down a Tactical Insertion.
  7. Booster to kill Boostee. (if using FMJ and want Extended Mags, shoot through a wall to kill the Boostee.)
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until the booster got 29 kills.
  9. Booster to become Boostee and vice versa. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until booster got 29 kills.
  10. Wait until game is 10 seconds from finishing. Activate the kill streaks/Nuke.
  11. Repeat steps 3 to 11 again until the Group got the required amount of kills, head shots, kill streaks or the unlocked the challenge or attachment.

  • Quite a low amount of XP per match (not including challenges)

[multipage=Search & Destroy Riot Shield Boosting]

  3. In each party, put a unique number in your clan tag.
  4. The party leader of the people who want to go first go find a Search & Destroy lobby, then invite the other party leader to their game. At this point, you should be split into 2 teams, one party v another party.

Boosting

  • Once game has loaded, the people who want to go first select the Defence class, and the rest select the Attacker class.
  • Meet up in the middle of the map, and find the person on the opposite team with the same clan tag. One pair to go to a bomb. (If you're on XBOX Live with a mic, create a private chat with him. PSN users, jump to stop, crouch to start.)
  • Attacker shoots the riot shield of the other person so the XP goes, +500, +500, +500, +500, +500. When it goes to +100, jump or shout “Stop!”.
  • Use the in-game clock to wait 21 seconds. Attacker uses One Man Army to refill ammo.
  • Defender either crouches or yells “Start!”.
  • Repeat steps 3 to 5 until the in-game clock goes to 10 seconds.
  • One plants the bomb.
  • Repeat steps 3 to 5 until the bomb timer goes to 10 seconds.
  • One defuses the bomb.
  • Repeat steps 1 to 9 until the game ends.
  • Swap roles, Attacker is now Defence and vice versa.
  • Repeat steps 1 to 9 until the game ends.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages

  • Rank up extremely fast.
  • No one can bust you if you got 12 people.

Disadvantages

  • Can be hard to get 12 people.
  • Can be hard to communicate on PSN when jumping/crouching.
  • Needs organization and organized people.

Contributing to the tutorial =)

If you have any suggestions, feedback or ideas, post them here and I'll add them in. No stupid comments like “boostin is 4 fags”, if you don't like boosting then why are you here?

People who've added content on the tutorial;

  • xXBeAsTz - CBPro Glitch don't have to be a Pave Low, but an Attack Helicopter or Chopper Gunner.
  • Hacking4Life - Told me about the Multipage feature, much easier to read!
