[multipage=Styles of Playing]
In Modern Warfare 2 people play in a variety of different “play styles” or the way the play the game.
Here are the common play styles and ones I use to succeed.
Quicksilver:
This play style is typical rushing and being a powerful and aggressive player on the battlefield. If you play this way you tend to rush out of your spawn and head towards the enemy spawn for first blood. During the game you’re able to cross the map quickly to rack up kills. There are advantages and disadvantages to this play style, here is what I think they are:
Advantages:
You’re very quick; you can reach the enemies quickly
You can get a lot of kills, as you can quickly rush and trap the enemy.
Disadvantages:
Most times you’re running out in the open, an easy target to be shot at.
Enemies may know you’re a rusher and will be prepared will explosives at the ready and claymores placed.
The class setup usually tends to be a lot like this for this play style:
PRIMARY: SMG Silenced or Red Dot
SECONDARY: SHOTGUN w/Grip or Akimbo//MACHINE PISTOL w/ Silencer or Akimbo
EQUIPMENT: SEMTEX//FRAG
SPECIAL GRENADE: SMOKE//STUN
PERK 1: MARATHON
PERK 2: LIGHTWEIGHT//COLD-BLOODED
PERK 3: COMMANDO//NINJA//SITREP
The Wookie:
This play style is a common way to get lots of kills and few deaths. In this way of playing people use a sniper rifle and their ghillie “wookie” suit and find a good bush, patch of grass or high spot over viewing a good part of the map. This style gets a lot of kills because it doesn’t need head out into all the action and just hangs back and relaxes getting easy kills with your long range sniper scope.
Advantages:
Quick and easy kills.
From a distance, so no enemies can shoot you, unless they see you.
Very easy to use this style
Disadvantages:
If an enemy does happen to wander around the map and end up behind you, all you have is a sidearm to defend you, unless you can quick scope =)
When you shoot your spot is given away, unless using a silencer (But the silencer shortens range your bullets can reach)
Class Setups:
PRIMARY: SNIPER RIFLE w/ Thermal, FMJ or Silencer
SECONDARY: HANDGUN w/ FMJ, Silencer or Akimbo// MACHINE
PISTOL w/ Silencer, Red Dot or FMJ// SHOTGUN w/ Akimbo, Grip or FMJ
EQUIPMENT: CLAYMORE//THROWING KNIFE (Only if you’re really good with it)
SPECIAL GRENADE: FLASH//STUN
PERK 1: SLEIGHT OF HAND// SCAVANGER//BLING
PERK 2: STOPPING POWER// COLD BLOODED
PERK 3: STEADY AIM//NINJA//COMMANDO
Ninja Man:
This class setup is used if you want to be undetected the whole round and get plenty of kills and maybe even zero deaths. You usually sneak around with the best setup to be unknown, you kill lethally and silently.
Advantages:
Quiet and easy kills-you never give up your position
Able to enter the heart of the enemy spawn and gets lots of kills without being acknowledged that you were there.
Disadvantages:
If you’re not quick enough you will be killed when attacking an enemy due to you having no stopping power.
If this setup isn’t used correctly all will go wrong.
Setup:
PRIMARY: SMG Silencer w/ Red dot (Only if you have BLING)//Assault Rifle Silencer w/ Heartbeat sensor (Only if you have BLING)
SECONDARY: HANDGUN w/Silencer// MACHINE PISTOL w/ Silencer
EQUIPMENT: SEMTEX//THROWING KNIFE
SPECIAL GRENADE: FLASH//STUN//SMOKE
PERK 1: BLING//MARATHON//ONE MAN ARMY
PERK 2: COLD BLOODED
PERK 3: NINJA
Tryhard:
This class setup doesn’t mean you’re a try hard it just means it’s a successful setup because tryhards are usually successful. This class you have a powerful weapon and you hang back and go for objectives when there is a chance.
Advantages:
Gets you tons of kills and few deaths
Sometimes locks the enemy in their spawn
Disadvantages:
Snipers can take you out easily if you hang back.
Enemies might pull out a RPG on you because they are annoyed at not being able to kill you.
Setup:
PRIMARY: ASSAULT RIFLE w/ Red Dot/Holo, FMJ or ACOG//LIGHT
MACHINE GUN w/Red dot/Holo, FMJ or Grip
SECONDARY: MACHINE PISTOL w/ Red Dot/Holo, FMJ or Extended
Mags// SHOTGUN w/ Grip, Red dot, FMJ or Extended Mags
EQUIPMENT: FRAG//SEMTEX//CLAYMORE
SPECIAL GRENADE: FLASH
PERK 1: BLING//SCAVANGER//SLEIGHT OF HAND
PERK 2: STOPPING POWER
PERK 3: NINJA//SITREP
[/FONT][multipage=Powerful and Useful Weapons]
FAMAS:
The FAMAS is a strong, no recoil, and easy to use powerful weapon. It is very accurate, and has a fast fire rate, and 3 round burst, which makes the recoil none. The FAMAS is best at long range kills and one burst kills. It is best with FMJ which makes every burst a definite kill. It is more of a defensive weapon that is good at defend bomb sites and flags because it has no recoil.
SCAR-H:Now the SCAR, the SCAR is the overused overpowered weapon of mass destruction. It has great damage, no recoil, and perfect iron sights, no need for red dots. If you put on FMJ it is basically a 1 shot kill. The SCAR is a aggressive, spawn trapping gun, and it is to be feared if used correctly. The only flaw is the ammo count, so plan your shots wisely and don’t spray.
TAR-21:
The TAR-21 is another power monster, although it has an annoying amount recoil it is fine if you shoot in bursts, no need for red dot, just put on FMJ, the iron sights are very good. The TAR21 is a aggressive, pushing-back-the-enemy type of gun, it is sure to get you lots of kills.
F2000:
Most people look down on this weapon because the stats are worse than the M4A1 which isn’t true; the stats are a lie and are false. It has big recoil which makes people leave this gun out. But if you use it correctly and shoot in bursts the gun is the strongest assault rifle, not damage wise, but accuracy and fire rate. It is a defensive gun at times and a aggressive one at times. It is a perfect spawn trapper and it will annoy the enemy and they won’t be able to do anything about it.
MG4 and M240
These guns are highly looked down on because damage and iron sights aren’t the best. But if you use them right they are support weapons, heavy, powerful and pursing. Put on FMJ and I gives you explosive rounds and bullets explode all around and spray through walls and surfaces. They are aggressive and defensive. If you spawn trap an enemy behind a wall or in a building just use FMJ and spray through the wall. These guns are very good for lots of kills if used properly.
[multipage=Advantages of the Gun Types]
ASSAULT RIFLES:
Strong, easy to use, and accurate make the assault rifle a weapon of choice for a lot of players. Some of little ammo but a lot of power, or some have recoil but good fire rate. Overall the assault is a aggressive type of weapon and will be used in future CoD games as a powerful gun.
SUB MACHINE GUNS:
Quick, powerful and lightweight is what SMGs are. They have good fire rate, power and recoil. They are common at close quarters for quick nice sprays and medium range burst kills. They are have a lot of fire power if you put on akimbo and spray you enemies dead. The SMG is a very good gun used by a lot of people.
LIGHT MACHINE GUNS:
Strong and good for support. Use LMGs to help your team out and be the powerful, pushing leader. LMGs spray enemies out of their spawn and run the team if used correctly. Depending on recoil use burst shots to kill from distances. The LMG is one of my favorite types of guns to use as it is very powerful.
SNIPER RIFLES:
Long ranged power, and support is what a sniper rifle is made up of. Many people use Sniper rifles and they find high, over viewing place or bush that the can hide at and get nice easy kills from distance. I used snipers a lot of time and enjoy getting good kills but eventually I die due to only having a sidearm for protection.
