How to use Riot Shield

The way I use the riot shield is that I take out my secondary (.44 Magnum) and run with tactical knife and go into buildings to see if there are campers, but if I am playing for example in HQ Pro then and you are going to the target, and it's inside a building I would put on my riot shield and then go in their, because then I most likely won't be killed if there is a group of enemies I would just go to a corner and crouch and then they most likely won't get you. Make sure you cover your feet, because that is the thing most people with riot shield don't do, then the enemy could simply kill you on your feet.

Class Setup

Primary Weapon: Riot Shield
Secondary Weapon: .44 Magnum + Tactical Knife
Equipment: Throwing Knife
Perk 1: Marathon Pro
Perk 2: Lightweight Pro
Perk 3: Commando Pro
Death: anything you want

Why this setup is good to use

.44 Magnum + Tactical Knife: I like using the .44 Magnum because if your with your right shield and you see someone pass by you and not notice you you could simply take out your .44 Magnum out fast and then your tactical knife and commando helps you knife him on the back. Also, you can pick your knife up after you throw it.

Throwing Knife: I think the throwing knife is a good equipment to use with your right shield, because if you see someone ahead of you then you can throw your throwing knife at them and get them, but I don't mean long range, like medium range. Also, it is a good advantage if the other person is shooting at you and then he has to reload and that is your change to throw your throwing knife at him. This is a good advantage, because most of the people don't expect it.

Marathon Pro: I like using Marathon , because you can run and don't have have to stop at all. A good advantage is if someone is shooting at you from like a medium range and you are close to a building you can make a run for it, also it's great for you to run around with your .44 Magnum and Tactical knife and knife people.

Lightweight Pro: I like using lightweight, because you can move a lot faster. For example if a predator missile is gonna hit you or a harrier strike bomb then you can make a dash for it. Also, if you are in trouble like getting shot at your riot shield, then you can like run for it when they are reloading.

Commando Pro: I like using commando, because you can pretty much knife people from a great distance. For example, if you are in Terminal at the hallway before you enter the plane, there usually is someone in the very front of the plane waiting for people to come to him so he can shoot, but with commando you could just knife him and he's dead, but your face may be a little bloody.

This took almost an hour to make, so please don't be mean or flame.

I would recommend USP akimbo over magnum tac knife, since it can act as a tactical knife as well being a viable secondary in close quarters

whats your advice on surprise spawning and the class before the class?

i use a m9 and tac knife and switch between the m1014 once i unlock it but believe a machine pistol would work better like the tmp or pp2k.

i also use hardline if im using that class the whole match instead of lightweight.

Imo the riot shield is sorta underated, i dont see many people using it like they should (sorta like you are). I've used it like you and people will rush at me, see i have a riot shield then run away, i switch to my secondary (a tac knife) and knife them in the back.

OR

scavenger
danger close
comando
tac knife
c4

just do the same but you can throw the c4 on the objective and whenver the enemy comes in the try and take the objective you can blow thier faces off. I usually get doubles+ cause in HQ they usually rush into the objetive multiple people at a time.

Vn guide Claps thanked since i cant rep you

Well it depends where they spawn behind you in front of you beside you.

If they spawn beside you, you most likely won't see it but if you do put on your riot shield and start going toward him and when he is reloading just throw your knife at him or take out your secondary. If he spawn in front of you just take out your secondary and knife him or shoot him.

and what do you mean by the class before the class?

Yes, it is and yea there are many ways to use the Riot shield. Also, that is a good class setup like you said they mostly come in groups and you blow them up and usually get 2+ Kills.

Also, thanks for the rep. Smile

Yea, that works to.

Do you mean like when moving around?

I would use your secondary if you are try to get to somewhere and if you are going into a building to use your riot shield.

yea i would usually snipe from that spot and be somewhere around my tac insertion.it would be tough doing it when u are constantly moving around though but then u would probably have someone waiting for u to spawn and kill u.
