This Guide contains all of the Primary weapons in Mw2(besides the riot shield). There are 3 kill rules for every weapon you must remember: AIM, SHOOT and, when in doubt keep shooting.

it's taken me awhile to write this up, got aggravated at seeing a guide for every gun, so i figured i'd just make a huge compiled list.

NOTE: i will be adding a secondarys section, then equipment. i'm just exhausted from writing this up it took me a long time. I will include more information soon, it took me so long to do what there is and i don't want to exert anymore effort as of right now but i will include more. for some reason all the assault rifle pictures are broken links.... i'm sorry and i will try and remedy this

Assault Rifles:
attachments are all the same for the guns and include:

unlocked at level 4, it is just as good as the acr.
it is also the fastest reloading gun while using Sleight of hand
I enjoyed using this gun, it was funny hearing people telling me i was using a noobs gun lol.. they never expect it coming, it has just as much power as the acr, don't let anyone tell you wrong

FAMAS

unlocked at level 4, some say it is better than the m16
it fires faster in between bursts than the m16 but m16 wins with the damage
i'd rather use this that the m16 any time(except in real life) it shoots really good and it is one of the best default classes to use after you prestige or start over, snipers stay getting headshotted when you use this gun.

unlocked at level 8, the scar is very strong but its magazine size is very small, to use effectively use Sleight of Hand
i used this gun for so long it wasn't funny when the game first came out(I didn't prestige until february 2010) it has awesome power and is pretty much unstoppable until your magazine runs out.


TAR-21

unlocked at level 20, the tar is by far one of the best guns to use in a 1v1 situation. it's RDS is different than the other guns(it shares this trait with the f2000)
this is by far the best assault rifle in my opinion, the iron sights are awesome and the magazine size is great too the first time i used it multi-kill action.


FAL

unlocked at level 28, the FAL is a very effective single firing weapon, when using keep a close quarters secondary(the underbarrel shotgun attachment is very effective and has a far range)
if you say screw the close fire secondary like me, go ahead and hip fire this gun even without steady aim it is a beast, its like no scoping with a sniper rifle but better.i love this gun at times.


M16A4

unlocked at level 40, with high damage the m16 is very effective against long range targets, when using keep a close quarters secondary.
i liked the one from cod4 better this one is dwarfed by the famas, especially because of its longer time that you can fire bursts... since i have a choice between this or that famas i'd rather have the famas.

ACR

unlocked at level 48, the acr is also refered to as the laser gun, all you have to do is point and shoot it and your enemy is dead. this gun hosts no recoil.
this gun seems to be just to easy to use(aim,shoot fire) i'd rather use something that takes more skill, imo this is the ump of the assault rifles, and i will only use it to replace a hand gun secondary.

unlocked at level 60, this gun has been dubbed the worst gun in the game by many, in close quarters combat it is a beast for double-multi kills.it's RDS is different than the other guns(it shares this trait with the TAR-21).
i tried this for a challenge a while back, it isn't that good unless in close quarters, then it's a friggen beast, multi kill mayhem at it's best baby, headshots it eats for breakfest lunch and dinner.

unlocked at level 70, the ak was a beast in cod4, in mw2 not so much. it is every effective in all around use, close quarters and, mid to long range.
they put this gun at level 70 for no reason, it's the same one from cod4 just doesnt seem as powerful, use the one on cod4 and you'll understand, the one from that game was almost unstoppable hot shit, this one is just cold crap most of the time

SUB-MACHINE GUNS

unlocked at level 4, this gun is usually over looked, mainly because it dwarfs the ump.
i don't really like it, it only does good when right on top of someone most of the time, the recoil is horrible even with a silencer... i'd say go use it in hardcore where it's worth a damn


UMP45

unlocked at level 4, dubbed as the most over powered gun in the game it has all around usage
use this and be ready to be called a try hard, i use it when i feel like being an asshole because in the hands of a skilled player you are pretty much unstoppable especially with stopping power on....
this gun is host to the best(imo) default class to use when you start over or prestige



VECTOR

unlocked at level 12, also over looked but in the hands of a skilled player this gun is more than deadly
i never wanted to try this gun because of its stat chart, then i finally decided to and realized it's potential, it's a beast most of the time once you get used to it, labeled as another worst gun of the game it really isn't. going against a ump try hard? drop shot that mofo.

unlocked at level 24, this gun is like having a mini lmg, excels as a hip fire device
i'm actually still using this one, use it akimbo and they never see it coming it's like holding two rpds and just raping the enemy opposition.. i love it cause they don't expect it when you use it

unlocked at level 44, in the hands of a skilled player they maybe unstoppable while using this gun depending on their tactics.
i used this one for a long time also, it was awesome, someone told me it was garbage once, then they lost in a 1v1(back when i used to do them) its really enjoyable to use because 70% of the time you will clutch it on SnD while using this with any secondary


SMGS are good when used while "running and gunning" equipped with silencers they become the most deadly weapons in the game.

to tell you the truth i don't like this gun, it's only worth while to use after you get those first ten kills for the grip then it's honorable but before that you'll be like FML most of the time, thats how i was for awhile...

unlocked at level 4, good for any setup (run and gun if equipped with perks SOH pro, and Lightweight pro)
this gun was my favorite in cod4, but in mw2 it isn't that good, usually when i prestiged i'd use this gun to rank up quick, because it has shear power and will rape all enemies if you know how to use it just right, if looking to get sleight of hand pro, use this cause you don't have to relod haha

MG4

unlocked at level 16, good for medium to long range- the damage lies it seems to not take as many rounds as you'd expect to kill an enemy.
this is so over looked it isn't funny i've seen teams of six rape with this gun(me being on the team of course). they get really mad when you use it because obviously it takes skill to use lol

unlocked at level 32, by the charts it shows that it is the best all around lmg, it is perfect for any setup, if equipped with the grip it is almost unstoppable.
this one has the almost the same exact stats as the rpd had in cod4, so it was so worth it to use, i got my first 4 nukes while using this gun as my primary, I loved it...

unlocked at level 52, it has to be the worst lmg, from long range the sights bounce around a lot.
this one i hated, and still hate to this day, it seems worthless you'll be shooting at some one and your bullets will go somewhere else....


LMGs are mainly for a bit of "campy" fun, if playing in a team i would suggest the LMG stick with the snipers to protect them.

INTERVENTION

unlocked at level 4, this is a bolt action sniper, not good for traditional snipping ("hardscoping"). mad extremely popular from all the youtube quickscoping videos.
this one has the worst recoil(even compared to the fifty cal when hardscoping) i like using it because most of the time i can beast with it. and no one hates on you for using it(until you strap a heart beat sensor on it like me lol)


BARRETT .50CAL

unlocked at level 4, semi automatic, very large magazine size and high fire rate. best to "no-scope" and "spam" with.
i used to love using this, i still do sometimes, in a tight situation of some dude running up on you, spam the hell outta him and you might get lucky lol

WA2000

unlocked at level 36, it is a very unused and overlooked sniper because of the popularity of the intervention. very good scoping, it barely moves after each shot is fired.
personally i hate this gun, and probably always will, for some reason it has never appealed to me, i still refuse to use it lol.

M21 EBR

unlocked at level 56, this one is also is very unused and overlooked just like the WA2000, with high damage and the scoping power of the wa2000, it makes every shot a one hit kill, and most of the time you don't have to fire any where near the person to kill them.
i liked the one from cod4 better, but this one is semi decent most of the time, i used to watch people in envy as they were the last alive in hardcore headquarters and they'd shoot no where near the enemy and kill them...



this concludes my thread, i will make a secondary gun thread some other time this took me forever to make...

edited it abit and threw in some opinion based material will work on it more tomorrow ie. secondaries and possibly some equipment and i'll even throw in the gun camos for primaries

I know I would use it with an ACOG & Silencer when I felt like being a Pro :black:

i've only tried it in hardcore game modes, i havent used it since the game first came out i think it's pointless to use, and have become addicted to using the intervention, especially to make people mad for me "hard scoping" them.

You should post opinions on which camos look best on each gun. :y:

dude the M16 in real life jams like shit and when exposed to water, mud, or anyother elements it sucks shit

not bad at all and need to fix the pix there.

in real life they use condoms on the muzzle to stop the water from jamming the gun, but that is also why the ak in real life reigns supreme

I think putting a condom on your muzzle should be a feature in Black Ops
