Call in a directional airstrike

The Precision Airstrike is unlocked after getting 6 kills in a row or 5 with "Hardline" perk equipped. The Precision Airstike allows the player to call in three F-15 fighter jets on a bombing run at the location of your choice. You can highlight your target location with a small "target" for both position and direction of the bombing run. Bombs dropped by Precision Airstrikes are effective at taking out groups of players, especially near spawn points. It's also useful on Search and Destroy when clearing the bombsight just before planting the bomb. In general, it's most useful on objective based games because you can easily retain an objective by calling in your airstrike, which will kill any enemies trying to capture your objective.

Strategy

This killstreak isn't being used by many players any more due to it being over-shadowed by many of the new killstreaks, however it's still effective on large and small maps. It works well on large maps such as Wasteland too, because it will bomb a specific area. If you bomb the spawn of the enemy team then you can get easily kills. Rust or Scrapyard are both great examples of smaller maps on which the Precision Airstrike will rip the enemy a new one.

You talkin to me?
Although this is a great guide i don't think it will be usefull for many people, since the game is out for so long.
I think most people know how to use the Precision Airstrike.

Harrier's are better since they do the same thing plus you get one that stays and picks them off. They shoulda took this killstreak out since they added Harriers.

Sure harriers are better overall but precision airstrike can be pretty good. I mean it does have a bigger and stronger explosion from the bombs then a harrier strike, so if used correctly it can sometimes get more kills then a harrier. Also it is 1 less kill, so easier to acquire.

I am only sticking up for the precision air strike because this is a thread about it. Winky Winky

Also you can aim which way you want it to come in and drop bombs, which the harrier cannot do, and if used right, it can rack you up a bunch of kills if you catch them in a spawn trap.

nice guide, but the game has been out a while and i do think alot of people have figured it out. but if there are some newer people reading this it will help them. I didnt find out that you could change which way the airstrike goes until 4th prestige /facepalm

disagreed, although harries are better since you get the harrier to pick them off. the third airstrike gets me an extra kill or 2 alot of times.Since if you lay it on thier spawn and whipe them out they normally spawn again by time the third one comes so thats an extra 2+ kills youll be getting

I defeated!
When you're aiming, is the biggest concentration of bombs where the circle is? or is it like the Stealth Bomber, and it's the beginning of the airstrike?
