Airdrop 4 random killstreaks or ammo

This killstreak is unlocked after getting 8 kills in a row or 7 kills with "Hard-line" perk equipped. The Emergency Airdrop will drop 4 care packages instead of just one. The Emergency Airdrop has a higher probability of it dropping a higher killstreak award than a normal Care Package, but it does take longer to reach the smoke designator and it often overshoots. The probability of each of the four crates follows:

* Ammo: 12.0%
* UAV: 12.0%
* Counter-UAV: 16.0%
* Sentry Gun: 16.0%
* Predator Missile: 14.0%
* Precision Airstrike: 10.0%
* Harrier: 5.0%
* Attack Helicopter: 5.0%
* Pave Low: 3.0%
* Stealth Bomber: 3.0%
* Chopper Gunner: 2.0%
* AC-130: 2.0%

Unlike the Care Package you cannot receive a "EMP" in your emergency airdrop. The Emergency Airdrop is useful when trying to get a high kill death ratio as you get a number of Helicopters of higher ranking killstreaks you K/D ratio will rise dramatically. But do watch out when using this killstreak because unlike the care-package the Emergency air drop tends to overshoot the flare. So be prepared to run a little to retrieve your rewards. The direction you throw the EAD marker is the way the plane will fly over .

Strategy

The Emergency Airdrop one of my favourite killsteaks on Modern Warfare 2, it's great on team based gamemodes such as: Team Deathmatch, 3rd person team-tactical and Ground War. This is because you can get 4 high ranging killstreaks. These can destroy games if you are given a Harrier Strike, Attack Helicopter, Pave-Low and Predator missile. These will easily rack up 20 kills between them making a Team Death match pretty much one sided after this point. On small maps however, this killstreak is pointless as more than likely you will be killed and the enemy will "vulture" your care packages. I would refrain from using this killstreak on small maps.
You will also be awarded massive points by calling in an Emergency Airdrop and letting your teammates pick them up.

I never use it either. I mean I always get mine stolen from greedy teammates or enemies.

I wish my teammates would **** off lol, I mean I worked hard to get my 8 kill streak, and they did nothing to help me, but they think they are entitled to have some of my air drop?

Yeah that's why I don't use it, because of teammate.

I remember on my first two Prestiges when I used the Care Packages, teammates would try to steal those too.

And I think that the marker is where the first package lands, and then the next three packages land roughly in a line about 3m from each other in the direction that you threw the marker

i let people take my uav/counter uav if im at level 70 and completed the challenge where u have to call in however many of them. i knife them after they take it :p

Yes, first package lands at marker then the rest follow in the direction the plane comes.

Same, I let them take UAV and counter UAV since I get tons of xp from letting them do it, more then I would if I did it. Or if I have plenty of ammo I let them take ammo and resupply.

But I hate those kids who run straight for like your chopper gunner or whatever, it's like **** off little bitch or I am going to slit your mom's throat! :evil:

Same, I follow them and shoot at them to draw attention to us and knife them to annoy the shit out of them for taking my AC130 or whatever.


No EMP in emergency air drop. :carling:

I remember this one edrop and I was surprised at how much good stuff came. It was Attack Helicopter, Pave Low, Ac130, and something of no value. Well of course my team comes out of nowhere to get my pavelow and ac130, luckily I beat them to it. But this one kid had his mic on and he was young, but he was all "ooooohh!! an ac130! :O a pavelow!!, awww he took it ." I thought it was funny.
