It has a very fast rate of fire. Low damage. Minimal recoil. Fast reload. And decent iron sights depending on your thoughts on them.

Secondaries I recommend are shotguns or handguns.

The best attachment I find is the holographic. It is a lot more accurate then the red dot sight. Some holographics do benefit better then the red dot sight. At the end of the day it is all about preference but for me the holographic on this gun does it over the red dot sight. And I usually go red dot sights on a lot of my guns.

First perk I recommend is scavenger pro because it does tear through ammo pretty fast. It is kind of like the M4. Stopping power I feel is a necessity. Because you want to kill as fast as you can but the high rate of fire does help this. If you come up against a more powerful gun you are pretty much dead so stopping power is good. Ninja pro is pretty much my basic third perk.

Best alternative attachment is the extended magazines because there are times when you will run out of ammo because the gun fires so fast. Then you have to reload. But it does have a fast reload time so it is not always a problem. The fact that you can have a sidearm like handguns is good, but when you have multiple people coming at you from all angles, you want to be able to use the extended magazines to your advantage. That is just how I feel on the matter.

For a search and destroy gameplay, I would put sleight of hand pro on. Now I recommend holographic sight for this game mode as well. Some people wonder why I don't have the silencer on well, I use to like the silencer. But after recent events I really dislike it. The ACR like all other guns has a really reduced damage when you silence the gun. But the inconsistency where I put enough bullets in the guy for a kill, and I do not get it, has been showing up for me a lot lately. And I am not really liking it that much. It is up to you though at the end of the day.

Do a barrel roll!
ACR has 0 recoil. It shoots wherever you shoot it even at far distances. I prefer red dot on my ACR because accuracy is already perfect and don't like seeing a huge red blob on my sights(holographic).

i just started useing the acr again with the class setup and ive been doing work with it. i've been playing demo and it helps running from bomb to bomb checking it and clearing it out of enemy's when u run out of ammo on ur acr just whip out those g18s and kill them

only thing to use for maximum effectiveness is an acog scope. its the only assault rifle i would put an acog scope on.

FMJ is pretty nice I will agree, I mean I use it sometimes.

I think sleight of hand pro is only good if you are running low kill streaks or playing like search and destroy because the ACR has a high rate of fire and low damage so you waste so much ammo. But it does have a fast reload which does help, so maybe instead of fmj, run extended magazines so you are not reloading as much.

Or if you are running and gunning, sleight of hand pro is good.
