How to NOT hate Modern Warfare 2

I used to be the kind of whiny player that b-tches about every single death or Commando lunge, etc. After 2 months following the time I said "Eff this game forever", I came back and have enjoyed it... more then before at least. Here's a guide to not hating...

Put Aside your Code of Honor!

Alot of players have made a 'Code' to follow, here are things usually included in this code: No ACR or Burst Rifles, no noob tubes, no Commando, no knife only, no Chopper Gunner, no shotguns. When you start abusing these things, you have no reason to blame people for abusing them too. So only happiness can come. I have completely abolished mine except for "No ACR", that gun spoils you, honestly.

Get out of the Comfort Zone!

What do you play. Team Deathmatch? Free-for-All? Figured. Try a different war! Go click the "Barebones Pro" or "Mosh Pit" button and see what pops up. I used to play TDM exclusively, now I play Ground War and Demolition. Demolition is sooo fun!

Set FUN challenges to Yourself

Killstreak-less nuke is not the kind of challenge im after. I'm talking about stupid outrageous idiocy that will challenging but fun at the same time. RPG only match? Go for it. Magnum only? Intervention silenced, no SP? Throwing Knife only? Go ahead. Just do these in Free-for-All and not punish players who want to win.

Variety is the spice of... CoD

Want some fun? Use guns you never have, like LMG's. You might find something you like. I tried out the AUG, who says you can't rush with an LMG?

Lower your Streaks

Take off 7-9-11. It's annoying to die at the count of 6. 3-5-7 is still the easiest, and probably most effective. Constant UAV's and your team is guaranteed to win. Counter UAV is also potent, use it.

Realize that your total BS as well

Think to yourself, if most of my deaths are total BS, camping, etc... aren't most of my kills the same to other people? Once you realize this, you have no reason to cry about "OMG I SHOT HIM LIKE 10 TIMES"[/B]

Awesome. Ive gotten over hating on this game (besides commando) for awhile. i just play it for fun and it works

Yeah i now just try out new classes, and things that i think would suck but actualy have learned to like them. Such as P90 Thermal.

Haters are gonna hate.
Every weapons set up is available for anyone to use.
If they choose not to, because they are purists or don't like to, then play how you like or don't play at all.
You can leave a lobby full of tubers or knifers and take a loss or an irritating win. You can play like they do or choose not too, but how can you hate you're choices when you can choose anything including not to play?

It is a game and the first object is to have FUN, second is to be good at it.
That can mean different things to different people.

But who am I to judge how people choose to play when I can play the exact same way.
I play the way I do the best at.
The vast majority of my deaths come from a straight up gunfight. I tend to forget that when a streak is ended by a tube or some lighting fast knifer who came around a corner on me.
The truth is I'm irritated when I die and seem to only remember the deaths from a set up I choose not to use.
If I die too many times in a match that way, I find another lobby to play in.
I'm not going to let some irritating little shit spoil my FUN.

And most of these haters are going to hate Black Ops by January.
