(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey all, Just a guide for the M16A4.

Single Player

The M16A4 can be seen being used by the Rangers and the Task Force 141 in MW2 Singleplayer. You can find the M16A4 on dead TF141 soldiers outside the capitol building. In the singleplayer the M16A4 is shot in a 3 round-burst. In its counter part Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) it is fired in fully automatic.

Multi-player

The M16A4 in MW2 is similar to the M16A4 in CoD4 with just a few minor differences. The M16A4 is un-locked later on in the game at level 40, and has an identical reload animation to the M4A1. The M16A4 has an added rail to the carrying handle which is unused.
The iron sights are also a bit different to the CoD4 version of the M16A4 and is less cluttered in MW2. Camo is now only applied to the rail covers, the stock, the magazine and attachments apart from the Shotgun, M203 (Grenade Launcher) , Silencer and FMJ.

Damage wise, the M16A4 has identical damage to the FAMAS having the same damage and multipliers and the same rate of fire per burst. However it has a slightly faster damage drop-off, but has a faster reload time. It has higher recoil but adding a Holographic Sight, Noticeably reduces the recoil. The M16A4 is 1 of the 3 3 round burst guns in MW2 the other 2 are the FAMAS and the M93 Raffica.

The M16A4 has the same attachments as any other assault rifle :

Grenade Launcher
Shotgun
Red Dot Sight
Holographic Sight
Silencer
Heartbeat Sensor
ACOG Scope
Thermal Scope
FMJ
Extended Magazines

Now, We'll move onto the stats about the M16A4

Damage : 30-40 (MP)
Damage multipliers : Head: 1.4, Chest: 1, Limbs: 1 (MP)
Magazine size :30 Rounds
Unlocked at : Level 40 ( As stated above)
Maximum Ammunition : 180 Rounds (MP)
Reload Time : 2.0s Loaded 2.55s Unloaded.
Fire Rate : 925 RPM (MP per burst), 460 RPM (MP overall)
Range : 1800-2200m (600-1000m Suppressed) (MP)
Recoil : Low, Lower with holographic sight equipped (as said above)
Fire Mode : 3 round burst
Penetration : Medium

Facts

The markings on the side of the M16A4 say, "Made By Infinity, Tool For Victory, U.S. No Refunds".

In campaign, the M16A4 can only carry a maximum of four grenades when equipped with a grenade launcher, whereas weapons like the SCAR-H and M4A1 can hold a maximum of 11. However, if the player equips one of these weapons, the launcher ammo will increase to 11. The player can then drop the weapon but keep the grenades.

The M16A4 has rail system mounted in the carrying handle even though its never used.

On the front cover of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a US Army Ranger is seen carrying an M16A4 w/ ACOG Scope.

The M16A4 has rail covers covering the unused sections of the Picatinny rails on the handguard.

The M16A4 in Modern Warfare has rail covers covering the whole of the handguard, and an M16A2 handguard when fitted with the M203.

The M16A4, along with the FAMAS and M93 Raffica, are the only guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that have three round bursts. (although during game winning kill-cams or nukes, a player shooting the m16a4 will notice that sometimes the gun will only shoot 2 rounds instead of the normal three)

When rotating clockwise with a high sensitivity, (10) the player can see that on the right side of the gun there is no rail cover. This is because the players fingers would have to stretch around the gun making it look unrealistic.

In campaign, its pick-up icon will always be seen with an undermounted grenade launcher, even if one is not attached.

Recommended Set-ups

M16A4 - Red Dot Sight & Silencer
M93 Raffica - Akimbo & FMJ
Bling Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Ninja Pro

M16A4 - Holographic Sight
M9 - Akimbo
Sleight of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro

M16A4 - Silencer
M9 - Tac Knife
Scavenger Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Ninja Pro

Recommended ways of use

The M16A4 is a very good gun in terms of Medium - Long range. The M16A4 is decent in close range with steady aim if the player is accurate. I don't recommend using the M16A4 as a gun for rushing because if you come close up to someone with a SMG and stopping power there is a 80% chance the person with the SMG may beat you.

Well, Thats my guide for the M16A4 and please press the thanks button if this helped Winky Winky

It can be found on dead Task Force 141 members on TF141 missions as well as dead Rangers outside the Capitol Building. It fires in bursts in both singleplayer and multiplayer, unlike its Call of Duty 4 counterpart which is fully automatic in single player.

Multiplayer
The M16A4 returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It behaves similarly to the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare version with some small differences.
It is unlocked later on, at level 40, and has an identical reload animation to the M4A1. A rail has been added to the carrying handle, but goes unused. The rear sight aperture is thinner than the CoD4 version, which gives a less cluttered sight picture. Camo is now only applied to the rail covers, the stock, the magazine and attachments apart from the Shotgun, M203, Silencer and FMJ.
The M16A4 damage-wise performs identically to the FAMAS, having the same damage and multipliers, and the same rate of fire per burst. However, it has slightly faster damage drop-off, but has a faster reload time. It has higher recoil, but using a Holographic Sight [1] lowers recoil significantly.

It is the fact that you copy/pasted this all and claimed it was your and that you typed it all.

I didnt copy and paste it all you retard, CoDWiki doesn't have half the stuff I have in my guide. Why don't you piss off with your trolling ways and find somewhere else to troll. I may of took a few bits and bobs from CoDWiki but I didn't take it all like your saying.
