It's like being infected i believe, turn your PS3 off and it's gone, I'm not sure about you'r other question, hopefully someone else will help you on that Smile

1, as far as im aware you jailbreak 3.41, edit all the things needed when on 3.41 then update to 3.42 and they stick APPARENTLY!

2, if they do stick, you should be able to turn off and on as the edited file is on the HDD so will load every time you turn it on.

dude i think most people are injection the modded patch which i think people are using that godlymodz patch and then you have to upgrade to play online but the patch is till there so it will load when you go on mw2 Smile and unlick infections you will not loose those mods when you turn off your ps3 because its a modded patch not an infection Smile hope that helps abit mate

yeah if another patch comes out which is very unlickly i think, the mods will go becuase it will be a new patch Smile
