Post: PS3: new ps3, old FW?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I got my ps3 taken away and got a life. But now my friends on my firends list on ps3 that i know in real life are asking me to make them a modded lobby, even tho they got in to two of them and im grounded.

So i was thinking if i go buy a new ps3 slim or old ps3 that had been refurbished by a store. Will it have old fw 3.41 or older and then just get to 3.41 and jailbreak it or does Sony ship out new ps3s that are updated?

it would be easyer than looking for a used ps3 that wasnt been updated in four months. and it would help to use as a backup ps3 when i get in trouble again.

so post your thoughts. and answer my question. Thx

if you go buy a new ps3 from the store it should have 3.40 firmware on it.

so then all i need to do is update 3.41 and JB and everything else? cuz i thought Sony would be smarter than that.

Yeah.. its only 3.40 at this stage because ps3 dont sell as fast as you may think.. they woulda been shipped before the 3.42 firmware was released

Sony can't recall stock once it's on the store shelf. They may have done this with the stock that retailers still have in their warehouses, but I highly doubt it.
