So lately I've been trying to get my PS3 running mods. I have tried the GodlyModz patch and am getting black screen at multiplayer, I will be trying Mossy's patch later. Here are the exact steps of what I did:

1.Took my 3.41 PS3 and turned it on w/o psjb.
2.Deleted MW2 Patch from Game Data Utility.
3.Started up MW2 and downloaded patch 1.11.
4.Turned off PS3 and restarted it with jailbreak.
5.Installed FTP Server in *Install pkg file*
6.Started FTP service on PS3.
7.Started Filezilla on computer and navigated to dev_hdd0 and found the patch_mp.ff in BLUS_30377
8.Opened modded patch in Hex Workshop.
9.Highlighted and copied EVERYTHING.
10.Closed modded patch. Opened regular patch in Hex Workshop.
11.Highlighted everything and pasted Hex from modded patch over it.
12.Took that patch and replaced the one in dev_hdd0 with it.
13.Closed Filezilla.
14.Pulled up PS menu on ps3. Went to game tab and quit FTP server. PS3 Auto-restarts itself.
15.Turn off my ps3. Restart it in Jailbreak.
16.Insert MW2 disc. Start the game.
17.Get to MW2 main menu. Campaign and specops work fine, if I click Multiplayer I get black screen.

I'm seriously stumped on this one, if anyone could reply with a highly detailed tutorial explaining how to get it working that would be great.

you need the right one BLUS or BLES

Your steps are right, The problem is that the patch region is different from the game region.

I.E : Installing EU patch ( BLES ) on US Game ( BLUS )

Get a patch similar to your game region and it will work.
