With the recent release of firmware version 3.50, many have been sceptical about updating with the worry of not being able to use the data transfer functionality to copy patches across from 3.41 to 3.50.

I can confirm I've just successfully transferred my data from my newly-jailbroken 3.41 PS3 to my Slim PS3 running 3.50. I'm in LAN Party and the patch is working successfully so I can only assume it will work when PSN is back up and I'm able to go online.

I'm in the process of recording everything and I'll upload a video when done but I can 100% confirm that you're able to upgrade to 3.50 and still be able to transfer from another PS3 running 3.41!

someone help me with this i cant get it to work since i updated to 3.5

so i have the modded patch on 3.41 - i got to transfer and so on...

then i switch to my 3.50 and click 2. recieve from other PS3

then it just says "Please Wait" for ages and if i go back to my 3.41 it says (An ethernet cable is not connected WTF???

I have to disable the Internet Connection and Media Connection on both PS3's or I get the same error.

so is it possible to data transfer from 3.41 to 3.50? please pm im going to buy a ps3 already have dongle but i want that confirm before i buy a ps3....please someone answer me can i data transfer a ps3 slim 3.41 fw to a ps3 slim 3.50?

I found a TI-84 Plus for less than $35 dollards on ebay(.com) just saying im just waiting on a Ps3 on 3.41
