The question is if I can update to 3.41 and not the newest download. If i can i will update to 3.41 get a Jailbreak, mod mw2 patch, then data transfer to my actual PS3 on 3.50. It is impossible to downgrade Firmware. To put psjb on you will need a new ps3 on 3.41.

Well since it is impossible to downgrade, you would have to get a whole new ps3 to get the Jailbreak on it since it only applies to fw3.41.

This is how you can resolve this, but i believe the only method is by getting a new ps3.

Get a ps3 with any firmware equal to or less than 3.41.

If it is less than 3.41 you should download the firmware from the playstation website (i do not have the link) and put it on a USB drive and update it like that. That will put you at 3.41.

Then from there, do the jailbreak and put your patch on.

Case 1 : if you mean that you have a PS3 with lower than 3.41

Yes, you can update it to 3.41 using USB. ( Just search for the patch on google and you will find it easily )

Case 2 : If you mean that you want to downgrade your ps3 using usb.

No, you cannot. To do so you will have to dump the nand.
