Well so is the RPG, Raffica, .44, Tac Knife on anything, SPAS, Rangers, Bling Models, and Akimo Glocks. Why should they dumb down a gun for a video game? I mean look what they did to the Barrett .50 (Strongest sniper in the world), and the Vector (Best SMG in the world), both are weaker than they should be, I mean look at the M16 & M4, they're basically the exact same gun, but the M16 is way stronger in CoD. IMO guns should take their traits over to the video game.
I concur, quite a few of the weapons in MW2 are overpowered. I can tolerate the primary weapons being as powerful as they are, but the secondary weapons shouldn't be. If the weapons real life performance was replicated in the video game, we'd all be using the same weapons and it would be more unbalanced than it already is. What these developers should be striving for is a game where every weapon suits different players needs, but are equal overall.
If the game worked the way that you wanted it to, they may as well only put in the best weapon for each class. That's all people are going to use in real life, given the choice.
