(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Here is an application that can let you view any PS3 patch (so you can read the codes that make the popular patches run. I'm in the stage of making it recompress, but it might take a bit seeing as I'm back at uni now.

How to use:

1) Unrar the download
2) Make sure offzip is in the same directory as the .jar or the .exe
3) File->Open Patch and open the patch_mp.ff file
4) All the files found are listed on the left hand side, click them to view them

Current issues:

_missions.gsc isn't found atm because it is split between 2 blocks and the header points to an offset that isn't in the block it starts in

Links:

You must login or register to view this content.

Also on that page are godlymodz .pkgs (they cannot be used to host lobbies, dont try)

Offzip is only used to find the offsets for the zlib blocks, if anyone knows how to spot a zlib block, please pm me so I can get rid of offzip please

Open patch_mp.ff with HxD and check the headers, then you'll know whether it's a PS3 or Xbox patch

It only works with PS3 patch_mp.ff files, maybe thats your problem. The patch_mp.ff in the release is a clean one I ripped from a pkg, but I've tested with the godlymodz too.

I've looked at the xbox source code, but it doesnt seem to include the code for the backend, which does all the work for it, so I made my own from scratch.

If anyone knows a way to find the zlib headers in patch_mp.ff without using offzip, please pm me Smile

I'm working on a generic fix for the _missions.gsc style error, incase IW do the same thing again. Recompression is halfway done, but I'd rather decompression was completly sorted first

Depends on how you're classifying a kb, whether it is 1000 bytes or 1024 bytes

i dont know im using ur program i think and the step where it says type in on google [Size] to hexadecimal.
my size is 7.05kb but the size on HDD is 8kb
dw i got 7229kb then put that as a decimal and converted it to hex and it came up with 1c3d
