I'm the W@W Menu Guy !
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); okay, so I had a major problem this morning !!
My 3.41 ps3 YLODed !!! :(
managed to get it running again by reflowing CPU/GPU but scared it might happen again..
So i started trying some stuff :p
From my 3.41 i data transferred 6 different patches to my other ps3 (which is on 3.50)
detail: I transfered them to 6 different HDD :p
now I can change patch just by replacing HDD Smile

now this may not be interesting to people who actually HAVE a 3.41, but imagine this:
your friend has 3.41 ps3, you don't..
you take your ps3 over to his place with 3 or 4 HDD, transfer some patches to the HDDs & once you get home, just swap HDD to change patch Smile

I'm doing this right now & even though data transfer doesn't take that long, this is a LOT faster :p

maybe this helps, maybe it doesn't, but at least I tried Winky Winky

EDIT:
just to stop the spamming (got like a million messages about something that's EXPLAINED on this forum, but thought i'd just add it here..)

TUTORIAL:
---------------

needed:
- 2 x PS3 (3.41 & 3.50)
- converted patches for PS3: download You must login or register to view this content.
- Ethernet cable (straight or cross) ==> THIS IS AN ORDINARY INTERNETCABLE, FOR THE NOOBS AMONG YOU !
- on your(/the) 3.41 you need the FTP server installed (read You must login or register to view this content. to configure it)

what do you do:
- use filezilla to upload a modded patch to your 3.41 PS3
- use data transfer utility to transfer the data on your 3.41 system to the 3.50 ps3
- swap the HDD in the 3.50 system, put in another one & format (you will need 3.50 update on usb drive to do this! download 3.50 You must login or register to view this content.)
- repeat steps 1 - 3 for every patch/HDD you have & start swapping Winky Winky

if any questions, post HERE & don't pm me, as other might be able to answer questions better than me Smile
