It does, I just did it before... If it fails with the retail 1.11 .pkg use the debug 1.11 .pkg, thats what I use to turn it back to normal to play splitscreen

oh okay, cause I tried to install the retail 1.11 pkg a million times when jailbroken, never worked..
then i found out that you can download gamepatches without signing in to the PSN i was so happy

just connect your ps3 to the internet but DO NOT UPDATE !
just make sure it has internet connection (if you have ip in network status you should be good to go)
then put in mw2 disc & boot it..
it should say there's an update available.. at least, that's what it did for me :p
