i really need to know if this can work?, i want to psjailbreak it. his firmware's on 3.21 so please people that know how to jailbreak leave a comment below saying this works and it would be a good idea for me to swap him!

Yes it will work. You have to download fw 3.41 and update the PS3 using a memory card. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do this. Just google it.

Just download the firmware via USB drive.

Then you should be set on the right track.
Make sure its 3.41
