i edited 00000002.dat and packzipped with rank-recomp.
added the header (78 DA) to recomp and now needed the footer.
so i got the last offset and remembered this.
went to the rank-comp and the offset wasnt there. ( i.e recomp was bigger than comp)
so i didnt know what to copy for the footer.
sorry if this sounds confusing lol, but anyone who can edit patches should know what i mean

You added too much into rank by the sounds, when you edit it, write your codes in notepad, then open up rank in HxD, fill the section with 00 so the files is completely wiped.
Then open the text file (with codes) into hxd.
Take note of the size of the text file (hex size)
Then whatever size the text file was, select that amount in rank and PASTE WRITE the codes.
Then open the text file (with codes) into hxd.

this is pissing me off now. ive only added an aimbot to _missions.gsc and i cant get the footer now in comp
isnt there a way around this?
