Learn .gsc scripting. You won't be able to make a patch like Mossy's right away, as it is very advanced, but start from the basics and work your way up.

I suggest Notepad++ in C++ language, as that is the easiest way to code.

But of course you can use regular notepad too.

You should go to the exploits and hacks section to read the tutorial there, I found it very helpful.
