Post: Firmware downgrade?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Is it possible for me to take out my PS3 HDD, format the disk, re-install a brand new PS3 Firmware patch, put it back in my ps3?

Or is part of the firmware like burnt into the motherboard or something like that?

I really need to downgrade my PS3 Firmware.

Or just removing everything and installing an earlier firmware :?

I'm currently on 3.50 and I need 3.41 :S

thanks for any replies.

I believe it is impossible because the firmware isn't in the HDD.
