Make sure that the copy of your patch is the ps3 version, not the xbox version.

Normally the black screen is when a zlib header is injected to the wrong offset. Or when you haven't changed the compression hex correctly. If you get stuck tell me what you want and I will help you out

I would suspect a zlib header is at wrong offset. When compression hex hasn't been changed/edited it will load multiplayer but then give compile error.
