(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i do the whole decompress stuff and edit 00003.dat thing and put my mods in it but it wont work. i tried using 3-4 diff. modded patch's such as trees and tried to replace the name just to see if it would work with my name but everytime i do it goes to black screen... all i do is change the names in the " " but still a blackscreen or my name wont appear.

could someone help me please?

i got the same problem. did u use the tut on how to decompile and compile by alabama hit guy? i did and i think i got the black screen cuz i didnt do something correctly with all of the cutting and pasting in hex, it is easy to get just 1 step off...

lol same here but i used a dif decompressor it does it for u and guides thru the step but it didnt work. it decompresses and recompresses and adds the missions back to the patch

check your file sizes on .dat file then edit 0000d4 and above gsc your editing look for. FFFF before mission.gsc/ whatever. the 00 00 00 00 FFFF. edit just before ffff with the file size converted to hex. You must login or register to view this content.
