Post: How to open a PS3 Patch in FFViewer!(buggy)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Make a backup of your patch before doing. It will erase your patch with the extracts from offzip if you save it with ffviewer. You do not want this.

I have found a way to open PS3 Patches in FFViewer! It's very simple.

What you'll need:
Offzip
FFViewer

In Offzip, you'll need to extract the blocks from a patch like normal except you'll use these parameters
offzip -a -1 -z -15(-1 is very important)

After that, put your original patch and the single extracted file(it should be something like 00000027.dat) into the same folder. Rename the .dat file to *whateverpatchisnamed*-extract.dat(such as treepatch-extract.dat).

In the folder where your patch is, there should be 2 files:
patchname-extract.dat
patchname.ff

After this, go to FFViewer, go to File--> Open Extracted Fastfile, and select the patch. If it all goes right, you should now be viewing a PS3 patch in FFViewer!

A lot simpler if you just wanna look at the code, you only need 2 files.
But sometimes, it messes up and certain GSCs aren't shown(FFViewer reports them having 0 bytes in them)

I will not tell you how to actually edit the file, too much to type lol.
Fully works with CoD4 and WaW patches aswell!

I'm working on having the ability to Open AND Save a PS3 Patch_mp.ff in FFViewer!

lol Even if itwas sorry but I figured this out by myself (yay ^^) The only reason I told ihate is cuz I needed someone to test this method out for me, I asked him like around month ago (9/20) :P And how could you have posted this a couple months ago if we barely started looking into ways on how to edit a PS3 patch barely less than one month ago?
