I just want to share with you a faster way I found of Jailbreaking.

This was the old way:
1) Turning PS3 ON
2) Deleting the patch
3) Reinstalling patch
4) Turning off your PS3
5) Unplugging
6) Jailbreak Software

This is what I have found to work:
1) Unplug cord at the back
2) Wait 5 seconds
3) Plug cord back in
4) Load up Jailbreak software(I used Calculator)
5) Press Power and Eject at same time
6) Done

If everything works then your Jailbreak time should be reduced to about 10 seconds.... at least for me it is Happy

This HAS NOT worked every time, but most of the time it does.

Please keep in mind that I have only tested this method out with the Calculator. If someone does do it a different way and it works, please let me know.

If it tells you to update your patch then do it. Then shut your ps3 off and follow my tutorial. It should work.

Let me know.

Well I need some help. I just got my PS3 on FW 3.41, and just got my calculator. And i need to know how to jailbreak, and do the challenge lobbys online with one PS3. (hopefully without updating it, because i dont want to take the risk of it not working and it be a waste of money/time.)

Sorry but your post makes absolutely no sense as in "your method" you fail to install a patch at any point in the process. There is no fasted ways. All you have done is assume that in method one you already had the old patch installed so for some odd reason felt the need to delete it 1st. Your 1st 5 steps for method one are silly as you dont have to delete the patch and reinstall you just need to start ps3 with jailbreak plugged in, then ftp into the ps3 and switch the patch with a modded one  The time to jailbreak is always about 10seconds as all you do is power on the ps3 with jailbreak attached, a whole 2 steps

Climbing up the ladder
The 'easier' way has been the method I have used from day 1 with no issues at all. I didn't even realize people were doing it any other way.
