Does your old ps3 have the 1.11 patch on there(the original one)?

If so all you need is an ftp program and then the modded patch over and do a data transfer to your 3.50 system

Yeah what cyrious said. As long as you have connection to the "internet" not the PSN, you can do it. Because you need the internet for downloading the MW2 patch nd using the FTP program.
