(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i know how to get host 100% of the time ps3 mw2. i will share this info if someone can help me understand why i cant inflict any damage with smg's or asault rifles while lag switching in mw2. sniper rifles and shotguns are golden. also i noticed when i hit the switch people still freeze like normal, but when i release the switch the players dont return to thier origonjal position like in cod4 or waw.

im currently using a 50' cable and can only get 4 to 5 sec of lag before i get signed out, with about a 1 sec buffer between lag intervals. i wonder if this is my problem, but it works fine with cod4 and waw. before mw2 came out i was using a 15' cable and had over 14 sec of lag before getting signed out.

this methhod of getting host requires no mods hacks etc. if you dont belive me i can prove it just give me your psn and we can play a few games and ill show you. once i get all my answers ill post for evryone to see how to get host.

probably because your lagging it to much what are you using for a switch?

just a .39 light switch, im deffinatly not lagging to much or to long. could it be that the cable is to long being 50'. thoe even this seems unlikly as i can lag cod4 and waw just fine. even works great in mw2 with sniper rifles and shotguns, but wont work at all with any other gun.

come on guys 75 veiws 2 replies, if this is common knowledge then im sorry for a double post. ive searched all over youtube and this website and seen nothing that is deffenitive as how to be host.

my method of getting host is very easy and requires no mods, hacks, complicated uploading, use of net tools etc. also is 100% effective.

i also know how to tell if migration changed host on you before the game starts, so you dont have to wait for the game to start and back out. and you will also never get put into a game in progress. even if you have no interest in lagswitching, having host advantage is sweet as you will have no lag.

It cant be the length of the cord if you still get 14 seconds in COD4 and WAW. Im assuimng that the MW2 servers are just set up differently so you cant lag switch as long. My best guess for the smgs is that its probably just a combination of innacurate fire from the gun and the lag itself.

It's easy to tell if you're host or not. You know if migration turned you to host because: 1. You loaded from 0%-100% Faster than usual. 2. It "Blacks out" Right after you hit 100% almost instantaneously. 3. It doesn't show "Waiting for Other Players". You can tell you're host if you have 4 bars and everyone has 3 bars or less, or when you press select it shows the score instantaneously. Just tell us how to do it, and there's a way to lagswitch without all this stuff and make everyone run in slow motion. I forgot where to find that post.

to lag switch you need #1 a lagswitch #2 to be host. i think you are talking about net tools completly different and less effective. a properly working lagswitch will make a person with a kdr of lets say .67 to 2.5 or better.

all your methods of knowing if you are host are after the load screen, and if you are not then you either have to disconect or leave game and get a loss, both ways are time consuming. i know how to tell before game starts 1 sec after finding best host appears.

@ BabyCancer............the amount of lag was 4 to 5 sec on 50' cable, and 14 sec on a 15' cable. the game dosent decide lag time. the cable dose.
