what are you talking about whats the problem?

i used a .pkg file to get my patch on then i just copyied over my modded patch then transfer and it aint work i used the .pkg file because i cant download it through the disc

are you saying that when you data transfer the patch it doesnt transfer your modded one?

sometimes it messes up if your ps3 is jailbroken while trying to data transfer.

make sure your transfering the right way ( option 1 on 3.41 ps3 , option 2 on 3.50 ps3 )

ok i have 2 ps3 one jb and 1 for online. i JB the 3.41 ps3 but it has a broken disc reader so i cant just pop the disc in and download the update. i used a .pkg file to install the update but for some reason it dosent say what version it is when i go to information but its 16mb in size . and its a blus 30377 copy of the disc.so when i copyed over the modded patch with FTP sever i turned off the ps3 with the controller then i started it up with out the jailbreak and did a data transfer when it was done i started mw2 and it say that i need to install the latest update so i skipped it and went to spit screen to check the modz but there were no modz

why dont u have the latest update? what the hell, obviously thats your problem. lets try to clear this up.

put the Mw2 1.11 patch onto usb.
you jailbreak your ps3.
go to install package files to install mw2 1.11 patch files
open your ftp server (use blackb0x 1.2 from psgroove.com its the best and easiest)
open filezilla and put the sweet modded patch_mp.ff into dev_hdd0/game/blus30337/usirdir where the OLD patch_mp.ff file is.
turn off your ps3
unplug your jailbreak device
turn your ps3 on.
use data transfer utility
join private match to see if it works.

if it doesnt work reply and tell me u did exactly that and tell me what errors it gives you.

also, what patch are you using?

also, update your 3.50 ps3 to 1.11 right now too

ok im using a tree patch and the mw2 update on the 3.50 ps3 was on 1.11. but does it has to be like a special file to be installed by the install packages. and can u send me yours blus folder from your ps3 if u have 1 and i thank you for trying to help me

the package installs itself... delete all the modern warfare 2 data from game data utility and then hit install package files and install the mw2 ones. once done, go back to game data utility and see if there was a new mw2 data installed.. that should be your problem and you should be able to do all this just fine.

when u join a private match on your 3.50 what happens?
