Post: How to not lose the map packs after restoring!

When backing up a modded patch + maps on a data storage device from a 3.50 ps3 you lose the maps even though you have them installed, mine were from a friend and when you try to play online it will tell you to download the new maps after restoring from the backup.
1. All you do is go to the psn store and attempt to download the maps.
2. When it says "Activating..." wait for it
3. Once activated it should start the download cancle it and exit from the psn store.
4. Do that for both map packs.
Done! In game you should have the maps, as its activated them for you.
Even though you have a backup of the maps when restoring it wont allow you to play on them. So this method above will get them back for you.
Why is the thank button glowing ?

this is cool, but i dont have the map packs on my jailbroken console.
I have a friend with them on a 3.41 console that i could data transfer them from, but would that help me if i purchased them from the store under my name would that update the activation info to what i got from my friend? or would it want me to redownload them? what if i repurchased them from his account? (the original purchase is out of uses from file sharing)

I thought if you activate the maps on your 3.50 PS3 it'll overwrite your patch, and don't you need to have them installed on your 3.41 PS3?
