You have to use pkg installer proxy, then it will make a folder with random numbers. Then you drag that folder to home,vsh,task i believe (if it isn't theres a tutorial when you download it) but then just restart ps3 in normal mode then it will be there to install. Install it then you have it now.

i did but the ttp times out half way done

Re-build your PS3 HDD database and the .pkg's are in that link.

i just did a restore and i downloaded a fresh .pkg and still nothing tell me if this works when u try to install

I think you might be using the wrong payload for your jailbreak device. And if you are trying to install retail .pkg's, you need the right payload.

Just click on that link I provided and read that thread.

A system restore would not make any difference, re-build the HDD database.
