If I delete my game & install the US patch, will I be able to data transfer to someone in US ?
of course after replacing the normal patch with a modded one

if the games and consoles arent region locked then i dont see why this shouldnt work .

i read some where sony are slowly adding region locks on games so it may be possible to do it at the moment but dont know in the future becouse there ment toi be locking the region locking the games

If you mean by backing up your HDD for someone in the US, No it wont work.. the PS3 will just give you a error saying that info is from another ps3 and therefore not restore from that backup.

pretty sure hes meaning the data transfer via hamachi between versions mate. correct me if im wrong karoolus

Yeah that's what i mean..
I've been toying with this idea for a few days now, but never found anyone to try it with..
But what i'm trying to do is transfer to a friens who is in US :p
& me being in Europe, that's rather inconvenient :p

did you replace the board attached to the drive as well ?
that board is assigned to 1 ps3, so you need to change that as well..
i'm gonna make a backup of my 3.41 first (have all W@W & MW2 map packs installed, not gonna transfer those, would take too long :p)
