Make sure the patch file is named correctly (patch_mp.ff).

ALSO another big reason its not working, is because after you transfer a patch and you want to use another one, you need to delete the patch from "Game Data Utility", then re-install the MW2 patch normally without jailbreaking PS3. Then Jailbreak your PS3 and upload your hacked patch.

I ran into this the first time I tried as well. Here is what I did.

During the FTP process open the modified patch in Hex Workshop press ctrl-A (select all) then ctrl-C(for copy) "do not close the window" then in Filezilla right click on the patch_mp add select view/edit it will open your clean patch in hex workshop, now press ctrl-A and then ctrl-V the exit out it will ask you save changes, select yes then it will ask to save copy, press no then close the window. then alittle box will appear saying something along the lines of finish editing, click the check box and select yes and your done. you can now close everything. Hold PS button (quite game).
Now before it actually goes to the xmb screen turn off your ps3 with your remote, once off, turn off in back and unplug, then unplug your ps3 remove jailbreak device and turn it all back on and start your game normally in split screen and you should have you mods.

***No need to always delete the patch, only the first time you do it. After that all you need to do is follow what I wrote above***

If you mods stick, you'll see them in Split Screen, it they are there, your good to go.

I think your problem is that your not putting the patch_mp.ff file in the right place. You have to put it in the right place. After you go to your BLUS/BLES folder, there's also another folder called USIRDIR that you have to open, then you will see patch_mp.ff already there along with other files such as default_mp.self. Now, just replace the file now. Problem should be solved.

Download Elite Mossy v7 or v6. Never had a problem as long as you follow the guide I gave you above. If you still need help PM me and I'll walk you through it.
