Im after a capture card for my brother for xmas, Im unsure what to get him i dont want to spend ££££ on a HDrpvprdr thingy just something cheap to mess about with:black:

What do i need to get ive seen them easy cap things but i ndont think they come with all the wires??

I just want a list of what i need and if you could link +rep etc:pedo:

what ealse can u use? u can only record in crappy resolutions with easycap?

What about hdmi recording

i bought a easy cap device about 3 ,4 months ago only used it once becouse i couldnt play in standard definition and the editing software was crappy

if your going to get the easycap or dazzle remember you have to play through standard definition .it will be nothing like hd :FU:

If you want to use hdmi recording and then the HD-PVR and blackmagic capture devices are the best from what i hear

I would recommend the easycap, from personal use it gets the job done great.
-it has about the same quality as a dazzle if you set up options correctly
-costs bout 7$for the actual cc + 7$ for wires+splitters (two double ended red white and yellow)+(2 femal to female y splitters)
-you still need to buy all the splitters, and wires for the dazzle so...

i'd say easycap myself, i had one to begin with, cheap and useful
