Where to start....

I have been trying to learn how to edit patches for ages now and I've got pretty good on understanding what goes where. But there is one thing that I cannot do. Re-compressing. I've tried over and over and over and over. But I always get either of two options.
1. Black Screen Once Clicked Multiplayer at MW2 Main Menu.
2. 'Script Compile Error - Unknown Function' Error once Loaded a Split-Screen Game. It loads the game & gets to around 3 Quarters of the way there and stops, waits for a couple of seconds, then backs out and provides me with that error.

If anyone would be kind enough to give a hand, or show me the in's and out's for Editing Patches (PS3) then that would be great. I know most editor's will be too busy on their own Patches and stuff but I would really like to know how to do it. All I need is to be shown/told once and I'll remember it forever.

The Patch that Gives me the "Script Compile Error - Unknown Function" can be downloaded here:

If anyone can get it to work, I would seriously do anything. Thank you very much Smile
