Okay first, lets just get this out of the way, this is for Xbox.

Hey NGU! This is My very FIRST thread here so please, don't flame constructive criticism is accepted though. Smile

Okay, what you need:

~ FF Viewer (ORIGINAL)
~ A Patch File
~ Common Sense (I'm pretty much spoonfeeding this to you)

Anyways, this is my tutorial, is for people (if you don't already know) that need extra space in a patch, well, sometimes, when you need extra space, you lose Game Functions, and I don't think that's good :p so, this is what i do.

1. Pick a super long .GSC to put your mods in, lets use the ac130 GSC file :p

2. Erase EVERYTHING (yes everything) from that GSC File

3. Right click on the GSC File Name, and Click 'Rename Selection'

4. Rename it what ever you want, but the thing is, it must be the same size as original GSC file, and it MUST end with .gsc

5. Once you have done this, add this to the top of that GSC:

#include maps\mp\_utility;
#include maps\mp\gametypes\_hud_util;
#include common_scripts\utility;

6. Save it and re-open it, and make sure the name to that GSC file stuck.

7. Put your mods in that GSC File, but remember, if you're going to thread it from the missions, or anywhere else for that matter, you must have this syntax when threading:

Lets say i have NGU_IS/_THE_COOLIOS.gsc, (Don't use it, it wouldn't work, it's just an example) i would put

self thread NGU_IS\_THE_COOLIOS::function()

And You Are Finally Done! You have extra space, and NO Game functions were lost from the GSC File you Renamed :y:

~ Most of the credit goes to Lost4468 for helping me understand this :y:

Please Comment and tell me what you think! Smile

DO SOMETHING THEN!
I can't edit patches myself, but I think someone will put this to work, though as far as I know no ones really making MW2 patches anymore, which is a shame, but anyway, nice post :y:

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't think there was a thread on how to do this, I figured it out on my own, I haven't seen any, btw, did you not read at the bottom:

~ Most of the Credit Goes to Lost4468 /facepalm

Also, I have never seen a thread explaining this anywhere, but your right, if i could give credit to every single post that i've read that helped my understand this, i would, but there's just too many.
