are you sure you have done the other steps correctly?
in hex work 3 you have to open 3 files:
0000b4a0.dat
00014f51.dat
_missions_recomp.gsc
Got to the 0000b4a0.dat file and hit CTRL + E and enter "D7D2" FOR THE START OFFSET AND "FFFF" for the end offset and make note of the "length" underneath the start offset and end offset (Generally 282E)
Now go to your Recomp.gsc file and press CTRL + E and enter the number you noted from before
It will highlight some stuff
Press CTRL + C
Press CTRL + B
Press CTRL + G and put in "D7AA" and press Enter.
You should be infront of 00 00
Highlight the next for offests e.g 00 00 12 34
Highlight them and minimize Hex editor
Now go to the folder you are working in and right click on the 00000002.dat file and select "Properties"
You will see a "Size" the a number inside some brackets
Open up windows calculator and put the mode to programmer and make sure you are on "Dec" on the left hand side. Enter your 000000002.dat file size and then change the calculator to "Hex" on the left hand side you should get a Hex Number
Now go back onto your Hex Editor and the four offsets should be highlited.
Enter the number in there e.g
if you number in hex editor is, 00 00 12 34
and your number in calculator is, AA 35
you would change the last four numbers
e.g 00 00 AA 35
Now press CTRL + S and go to your 14f51.dat file
Press CTRL + E, and in length put in "61D" and hit enter
Now go to your recomp.gsc file and your cursor will be in a specific place and a load of text will be highlited. HIGHLITE EVERYTHING BELOW IT.
Press CTRL + C go to the 14f51 file and press CTRL + B THEN CTRL + S
Doneeee
