You must re activate it in the PSN Store.

Is there no other way?im after going over my monthly download limit so its costing me eveytime i want to try a different patch.

use ps3 proxy server to get the url of the DLC
and download it by your pc
and save it to your flash drive
then go to your ps3 and install it by using Install packege in jailbreak mode

and every time you want to transfare your patch just re activate it in the PSN store after the transfare
