(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); 1. I'm kinda n00b here but, wouldn't it be possible to create a backup of your PS3 to a portable hard drive. Transfer the patch to the the backup. Then bring the modified backup back to PS3?

2. Also couldn't you take the hard drive out of the PS3, plug it into the computer using a USB adapter, transfer the patch, then put the hard drive back into the PS3?

so basically what I am saying is:

1.Can you back up your ps3, mod the backup, then restore it and have it work?

2. could you use a usb to serial ata adapter/hard drive dock to put the modded patch right onto the hard drive itself?

It wouldn't matter if it's a later update. It WILL still work on a later update if SONY dosn't find out about it, I would've done the same thing. SONY WON'T PATCH IT IF THEY DON'T FIND OUT ABOUT IT.

yeh but mossy you can bypass 3.55 so its easy to downgrade and upgrade it will be faster if you know what i mean:bro:

I haven't tried it but I think Hamachi Data Transfer works in 3.55

Ya Hamachi is from one PS3 to another, I just have one PS3 that is updated. I am wondering if I can mod a backup on a computer then restore it to the PS3.

NO its not possiable i asked the same question in a new thread. And peoples responses were that it would removed sonys signature . therefore its useless back up

ive been wanting to do this Hamachi transfer, but no one seems to setup their network right, to get it to work. Plus im ttrying to update my patch :[:cry:
